Former Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw has pleaded no contest and paid a fine to settle a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession in Ohio that stems from a February citation, The Associated Press reported.

According to court documents at Eaton Municipal Court, Bradshaw paid $351 in fines and costs under a plea agreement and has been suspended from driving in Ohio for six months. His additional misdemeanor traffic charge for following too close was dismissed. Bradshaw had earlier pleaded not guilty to the charges.

"Pretty much what's in the public record is what's there," Bradshaw's attorney David Williamson said.

Bradshaw was pulled over Feb. 5 by state troopers on Interstate 70 for a traffic violation when the officers noticed a strong smell of marijuana. Bradshaw gave the officers permission to search the car, which revealed two medical marijuana containers with roughly 1.5 grams of the drug and two more containers with unknown liquids. Bradshaw was not cuffed after the stop, though an unidentified passenger was arrested and charged with two counts of drug possession.

According to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello, Bradshaw's case will be reviewed "under our policies," leaving any potential punishment to be decided based on his status in the league's drug program.

Bradshaw, 29, spent the last two seasons with the Colts after playing his first six seasons with the Giants. He rushed for 425 yards and two touchdowns and caught 38 passes for 300 yards and six touchdowns in 10 games last season but landed on injured reserve with a broken leg. Despite becoming a free agent in March, Bradshaw has yet to find a team for the 2015 season.
