AK: Marijuana Control Board To Discuss New Regulations In Fairbanks Today

Fairbanks - The Marijuana Control Board will discuss seven proposed regulations during a meeting at 9:15 a.m. today at the Fairbanks North Star Borough Assembly Chambers, located at 809 Pioneer Road in Fairbanks.

The proposed regulations to be discussed are advertising requirements, disposal of marijuana and marijuana waste, labeling and packaging, non-resident ownership, space planning and layout, testing, and video surveillance.

At 1:30 p.m., the board will review new and old applications.

Sunrise Gardens and Tanana Herb Company, both of Fairbanks, have applied operating plan changes in their licenses, which the board will review.

The board will review applications for new marijuana cultivation facility licenses and seven Fairbanks-based companies have applied: Black Rapids, Alaskan Blooms, Great Alaskan Bud Company, Good, AK Shadows, GoodSinse and Foxy Enterprises.

Subsistence Products is the only Fairbanks company has applied for a limited cultivation facility license.
