Alafornia's 1st Time Multistrain Medical Grow

I think the upcoming cooler weather will solve the problem...your plants actually look damn good, even with the heat they've been in.
I'm battling heat too, been 86f in the box for the last two days-they say cooler weather is coming-I'll believe it when I see it...

Thanks, carcass.

Of note: i gave a relatively light watering Monday night to the three in fabric pots and pH'd it to 6.5 using vinegar. The top and sides were where I concentrated the watering as those were dry. The NL and OS leaves felt dry and a little crinkly prior to watering. Not as much today. One more hot day with 90 degree temps and then the cooling trend begins.

That is a beautiful tent, Al. You would never know that this is your inaugural run. :high-five:

The heat. I was fooled into thinking that cooler weather might be setting in, but I was sadly mistaken. Mid 90's forecasted as far as the eye can see. It will be 97 degrees at kickoff in Bryant Denny on Saturday. 90 degrees in the 4th quarter. Can you imagine sitting on the east side of that stadium, for that game? Much less playing 4 quarters in full pads? Even New Mexico State won't be ready for this humidity.

Thank you, FEF!

Been there, done that. The sweat in my crack had sweat running down its crack. :D Even sitting lower-tier west side goalline as we often did that kind of temp is unbearable. Seems like about 8 or 9 years ago in Oct it was 90. About 4 weeks later it was teens or twenties. Welcome to Alabama!

A while back we visited in August. Got off the plane at 9PM - it was mid 70's and muggy. I couldn't get in the rental car fast enough to get the a/c going. That bottom deck at BHM felt like a swamp in Bayou la Batre, but no shrimp. Maybe it will cool off some once Dorian gets gone.

I watered Westley and gave a little top water to the three in big pots. It was 88 when I opened the tent door and quickly cooled to 82. The temp tomorrow are in the mid eighties with a continuing cooling trend. I picked some poor looking leaves of Orange Sherbet and Northern Lights partially to allow better airflow. The rest look pretty good.

In the veg tent I threw away the remaining new clones. I’ll just grow the rest from seed.

Got a few pics

I got the code key deadbolt put on the garage door today. The other was so difficult to get the key into. Now just punch a few keys and voila! Or use the key.

No big changes today. No watering. We did get a little rain.

The kid is still sulking and isn’t taking his meds. He wasn’t even eating anything I brought to him. I’m sure he’s been in the fridge and pantry. I think he ate what I brought him tonight.

Thanks, everyone! I did get a new 5x10 ft tent. It’s great. Had some problem with heat due to mainly an ac gremlin. Got those issues worked out and we are on a cooling trend now. It will be mid 70’s all next week.

A few lunch pics. The change is happening.

Congrats on the flip and the new tent and the clones (it's been a while  ). You got great answers on the leaf troubles:
I was just looking and to me it doesn’t look like wind burn but light burn.
If those taco leaves are just near the top it's light stress if it is all over the plant it's heat stress.

And I just wanted to reiterate what N was getting at, which is you can have a tent at a perfect 75º and still have light burn, so the thermometer only tells you so much.

@InTheShed is your guy for that tech! He has ways ;)
Thanks Amy...good find! I have transplanted from a cloth pot and the plant didn't slow down at all. The roots that are torn away when you pull it off the rootball are already air-pruned.

Top water for the heat stressed girls and a good watering for MH1, OGK CBD, and Blueberry. Got a few pics again.

A couple of the whole group.

Thank goodness it’s finally cooling off some.

They are stretching some but not as much as I expected. @Lowrider72 has said that it’s normal with CMH lights to get less stretch.

They look pretty good to me except OS looks a little raggedy and NL is still curly.

I’m thinking about what to grow next. I’m waiting on Wedding Cake and Skywalker Kush for Tangled. I’ll probably pop another MH1 seed or let the clone grow out. I’ll get it figured out.

My son took his food and his meds tonight. I also got a good report from school today. Knock on wood but his behaviors have improved tremendously for the more troublesome things and today was certainly progress. Hoping the general trend is up.

They’re starting! :yahoo:

Woohoo!

Looks like those girls bounced back nice Al, good work. Is a tidy tent that one.

Thanks. These are tough girls to survive me. :D

Looking good there Al, keep it going Brother.

Thanks, oops. I will.

Nice Al, leaves are up and Happy.
:thumb:

Yes, sir. I think we're on the right track now.

Looking good @Alafornia

Did you get a bigger tent.? Man I’ve missed a lot... I hope all is well.

Got a 5x10x6.5 and made it the flower tent with 2x315 watt CMH lights. A/C, heater, and humidifier are still in the 5x5x6.5 veg tent. I'm venting the air over from there. Not ideal, but it's mostly working since the gremlin stopped flipping the switch off on the surge protector for the a/c (I taped it in the on position).

If you miss a couple of days on this journal, you better block out the afternoon to play catch up. Al's got it hoppin' up in here.

If it ain't one thing, it's five - for better or worse. Within the next couple of weeks I'll be up-potting the clones that took and popping some new seeds, should they ever arrive. This is now a perpetual grow.

Let the flower show begin!

Yes! I can see the flowers beginning to take shape. I'm hoping things go well from here for a good harvest.

Congrats on the flip and the new tent and the clones (it's been a while  ). You got great answers on the leaf troubles:

Thanks, Shed. There is always good help here. I appreciate all of you very much. Moving to the new tent was a bit of a charlie foxtrot at first. Took a bit to get it dialed in.

Oh snap!

Got you some pistils! :yahoo:

I'm happy about that!

In case you missed it: I changed out the deadbolt lock to a code key that locks with the push of a button and takes a few more to unlock. The old one I had to jiggle the key forever to open. Might as well replace it with something better.

I got the Doc Buds stuff today. Haven't opened the box yet. I'll have to figure it out.

Thanks to everyone for stopping in. Feel free to sit a spell anytime you want.
