Am I ready for harvest? Cloudy or clear?

I'm going to start trimming and hanging one of my ladies today...any tips on the drying process.. .im so ready to get her dried and cured.....come on "gelata" lol

Hey Chilly, if you do the low and slow (I ADVISE THIS) be sure and trim the stems very close it makes a big difference in your drying time. I didn't trim close enough last year and it took almost three months to get it done. The end product was very smooth and over the top potent, the buds were crystal Christmas trees and were total eye candy under the jeweler's loupe. As with all other process there are tons of ways to do this, I hope you find the cure that works for you.

Thanks man. There's 4 people in my home so I don't know if the constant open and closing will work ?? I think I read you shouldn't open the fridge to much.....? Almost impossible here..lol..kids. at the moment I have her hanging in my bedroom bathroom with a lil air conditioner cooler...lights off . Not sure how well it will do ..........

Fresher bud will give you the get up and go but I would still recommend doing a cure. If not you’re flowers won’t break down the chlorophyll and just give you a grassy/hay taste and not much of a high. I’d recommend doing a cure for at least 2-3 weeks before smoking

Chilly,
You dry to get the RH in your containers down to @ 62%. Then the cure starts when you stabilize there. You do not want to overdry (RH< 55%) as you want your buds to cure in the 62-55% range. If you go below 55%, the curing process halts. The other side is if you let the humidity remain too high (>62%) you can lose your crop to mold. Staying in the sweet spot allows the chlorophyll to decompose, removing the hay/grassy taste.

Some folks dry by hanging for 3-10 days, most seem to do this in the dark, then go to jars.

These can help once you get RH in the ball park....

just pick the right size for your container if you go this route.

Curing is really just an extension of drying, but u really don’t want ur buds to go under 58-62%

Got some nice big buds in there, very nice grow! I tend to let mine hang dry for 3-10 days and I do a test snap on branches (typically once a day) until I hear a slight pop/crack but not completely break the branch. Once that happens I know I’m good for curing. I fill my jars 3/4 way full add in a hygrometer so I can see what my RH is. I burp my jars twice a day, typically when I wake up and right before bed. Sometimes I’ll pour the buds out to move them around in the jar so they don’t get flat spots. After a week of burping twice a day I go to once a day. 3rd week every other day and so on.

The pictures are blurry and hard to tell by looking at the trichomes. If you can get a clearer picture that would be great. I would say they have got to be close, from what I can see the trichomes look cloudy, but a closer lead blurry picture would give a more definitive answer

If you’re looking for max thc you are 100% going to need a good jewellers loupe to get a good look at those trichomes. If you want max you can’t go solely by pistils
