does anyone know how i can get rid of the ants in my plants and keep them out? also are they really bad for your plants meaning what will they do, eat them or what?

ok thank you i will try and find that diatomaceous earth. i dont see any on the stocks or plants themselves yet just in soil and on rims of pots. i will go to home depot tomorrow thanks again
