I think you still have a few days to a week or more. The appearance of the trichomes are the best method to determine if she's ripe for the picking but lacking that, I think at least 70% of the pistils should be orange and curled. For all the time, effort and resources you have used to get to this point, an investment of $12 for a magnifier I think makes sense

She has a ways to go yet. You want to look at the trichomes on the buds themselves not the sugar leaves. Pistil color is not a good indicator of ripeness as they start turning about half way through.

I don't like junking up other peoples threads with my photo's but this is about as clear of an example as I can give you about visual appearance with and without magnification.
