Can anyone advise as to whether or not the removal of chloramine (not the same as chlorine) removed from water with a charcoal filter would improve or at least enhance the efficiency of the nutrient delivery and breakdown process? Off-gassing/boiling will only remove chlorine and not chloramine.

I have a Full Indica And it is turning yellow from the inside of the plant out like the main cola coming up is yellow and it is turning yellow from the inside of the plant out like the main cola coming up is yellow The leaves are curling up length wise The outside of the whole plant looks fine Green as candy and healthy I have it in the ground outdoors it has been a little bit of a rainy season. I have it in the ground outdoors it has been a little bit of a rainy season but I have the plants on the side of a hill so the rain would not pool around it The only thing I have changed is i’ll put tiger bloom In one of the last waterings I did not even use the full strength it said to use It was like 1/4 I know you really can’t say much with pics but if you have any ideas go ahead and shoot Thanks

I was looking at a variety of cvault mechanisms and similar products. Is there no reason I could by a small net (think “tool bag” in a grow tent) and glue or duct tape the net to the lid allowing boveda pack to hang without touching herbs or am I just better off eating the cost of the (seemingly) overpriced canisters?

HI:
I have attached a pic of my first attempt. I have a harvest question. The plant is a WW auto grown in soil in our outside greenhouse. The pics are of the main cola's which I think indicate they are close. Trichomes under my loupe (10X)
appear cloudy and the pistols on the main cola are almost all brown. However the lower popcorn buds the trichomes are still clear and the Pistols are only half (or so) brown. Where do you take your clue to harvest from.

So it's all what you prefer... more amber = more couch lock. Looks like your close, so when ever you feel like shes ready you should be good to go. I usually keep an eye on a bud that a little down from the top/main cola and when I start to see some amber starting down she comes.

Mechanically, your idea would work.

IMO, the pistils turning amber is just a visual queue of nearing the end of bloom, but is not a harvest marker itself. Also, be mindful that various forms of stress (anything that is not completely ideal) can cause fox tails to grow out, so by the time the original bud structure is nearing the end of maturity, the new growth will be just beginning the process and there is just now way to control how far apart those 2 sides of the spectrum are from one another. So, depending on how much foxtailing I see is what determines how much extra grow time I'll allow for.

From what I see in your picture, most of the pistils have ambered and laid down, but there are still a few stragglers that are very green which indicates a minor degree of new growth. You can harvest later to cater to this new growth, but you may end up sacrificing the quality of the older growth, but I would base my timing on the original older growth as there's a lot more of it. Generally speaking, I give an added 2-3 weeks after the lot of pistils have ambered. I also found that if I deduct transition time and flush time, the breeders finish time frames are pretty spot on. So don't count start of 12/12 till you first see pistils/stretching and also don't count a week of flush, the space in between is accurate.

I suggest investing in a stronger loupe, something 50x-60x is great. I find the 60x to be a tad too close, but 40x isn't close enough.

I'm looking for some strain experience. I just got a nice order from our pal Herbie and am still stuck on stupid trying to figure out which strain I want to run next as I only have enough space to focus on a single strain for a few months to a year. Right now I'm growing Dinafem OG Kush, and each is vegged for about 8-10 weeks before getting under their own 6 COB fixture, and prior to that 600w HPS. I aim for a pound from each harvest, but sadly the most I got off the OG thus far was 14.5 ounces, so I went on a shopping spree. I also found an alleged very high CBD/low THC strain in seed form, but am going to save those for another time. I also got some nice renowned strains in the freebies. Here's my stock;

Barney's Triple Cheese
Barney's Pineapple Chunk
Barney's Ayahuasca Purple
Dr. Krippling's Incredible Bulk
(CBD) Dinafem DinaMed Plus (20% CBD // 0.5-1.0% THC)

(freebies)
Herbie's Seeds Gorilla Glue
Herbie's Seeds Girl Scout Cookies
Seed Stockers BCN Critical XXL

There's definitely a heavy hitter, big yielder, great taster, highly aromatic strain with nice bag appeal in there, I just need your insight as to which would best serve me in this next round. Obviously I want to save the freebies for rainy days or friends etc, so which of my top 4 would you run next?

TYIA

Any feedback regarding these strains would be most helpful. TYIA

If multiple tops are done on a plant couldn’t that in theory suggest that a temporary boost (even by a small amount) of nutrients be beneficial? If it’s growing new tops it seems like it would need an increased need of nutrients because the plant is working harder (a small amount for this scenario might infer even an 1/4 of a teaspoon)

OG Kush, 66 days since sexual expression, (transition) 73 days since 12/12.

Does anybody have experience, or even study leads on mixing up some homemade nutrients? I use GH and have been for years, but now I'd like to gain another level of control and make my own secret sauce. I've been revisiting this topic on and off for months, but haven't been able to track down anything worth while to study so clearly I'm Googling the wrong terminology. I'd like to be able to dictate everything, NPK and all the micros and traces if possible, and nothing organic. Any tips or suggested leads?

Hey all it’s been awhile but I’m back and better than ever. I’ve got some questions first off I know none are the best but they work and I’ve proven that but what combo I should use is the question. In a 4x4 should I use 5 mars 300’s or 4 mars 300’s for peripheral lighting and a 450 watt Mezhi reflector series for main lighting or a 1200 watt cob hollandstar for my main. Or all 6 lol. I’m running 7 autos in 3 gallon fabric pots 12” carbon filter for out and 6” fan pulling off my ac for intake. Or should I scrap the led and put up a yield 600 watt mh hps cool tube with a digital ballast?
