Astronaut's Soil Blueberry Cookies Grow Journal 2019

Blueberry cookies: indica-dominant hybrid, I don’t have the percentages.
Number of plants: 1
Growth stage: seedling (sprouted 4 days ago)
Indoor tent: 2x2x4
Soil: fox farm happy frog (sphagnum peat moss,perlight,earthworm castings,Bat guano,humic acid,oyster shell and dolomite lime for ph balance.
Pot: 3-1/2in terra-cotta clay pot on a seed warming matt
Light: two 105w cfl 5500k. I also have a true 280w led full spectrum. ( I’m am not currently using the led because not sure when the baby can handle it.
Ventilation: intake fan (4inch muffin fan 65cfm) outtake fan (4inch in-line duct booster 100cfm)
temperature: at night 68 degrees Fahrenheit, in the day 80.
RH: approximately 40
PH: water ph at 6.0 while watering the seedling (distilled water)
Water schedule: every 24h (when the soil drys out)
Fertilizer: no fertilizer at this time.

I have been reading on here that when using led as the main light source the plant will need cal mag, now I just need to know if cal mag is used every time you water. My baby is not ready for this step but I just want to be a responsible parent as she grows up.

Hey @astronaut!
Nice looking seedling. How come you are only growing one plant?
It is a bit high risk - if you have problems with this plant you will have nothing else running and will need to start from seed again?
Unfortunately i do not grow with LED so i can not help out on that front.

I added calmag everytime I watered and fed on my first two grows. That was told to me by somebody or I read it so I did it. I use well water so I already have plenty of minerals but I added 1 1/2 milliliters per gallon of Cal Mag anyway.

I only have 10 regular seeds and my grow space is 2x2x4 and I would be bummed out if I sprouted two girls and only had room for one. My goal is to get one girl and give her the whole tent. Also I’m a rookie grower so if I fail the baby I would Rather one die than two. I can say I have spent a lot of time reading up on proper care but I just lack hands on growing XP.

Hey George Mc I have a 1500w full Spectrum led that draws 280w from the wall what distance do you recommend it sit from the canopy during veg? I see you have worked with leds and any tips would be much appreciated.

Anyone have any experience with wide pot containers vs tall containers pros cons. I’m considering a wide for my tent due to limited vertical space. Here is a pic from a few min ago of the 5day old baby.

5 days ago I did a transfer from a small clay pot to a solo cup as suggested. I am now watering the correct way and I have noticed a big difference in the growth rate. Thanks to all of you my plant is thriving, my respect level is at 100%
