This will be my 7th grow but have been away for a while. I am going to do a 8x8 room with 4x1000 watts and probably grow DWC as I am most experienced with that. I have never grown in an attic and have a few questions.
The attic is in an industrial storage building. It is 45 foot deep 20 foot wide and 15 foot tall.
My idea is a 8x8 tent and was wondering about heat during the day.
I live in a tropical environment and the attic can prob get 110 or so during the day. The roof is vented so that should help.
This is what I was planning
4 cool tube 1000 watt lights ( 2 8inch fans)
Carbon scrubber or 2 (one continually running in tent and one on exhaust)
A/C unit (window or portable)
No c/o 2 plans at the moment maybe next grow just trying to keep it simple now
I have 2 5 ton a/c units I could tap into but do not want to risk the smell back feeding into them.
Does anyone grow in an attic when outside temps are in the high 90s and humidity is 90%?
Can you realistically keep a tent cool?
Should I have the lights on at night when it is at least a little cooler?
