Why does the light have a fan in the middle of it??
I'm assuming because the driver gets very hot.

That is to blow "cool" air down onto the canopy. Whether it draws in warm air from the driver in the process is a different story

Strange design if that's the case!
Maybe it sucks air up not blows down?
I can't see a 100w light flowering a 3x3 tent very well either.

Nah theyre made to blow air down i believe. They look pretty fancy none the less.
Yea I'd be enclined to run like 4 of them in that size tent

Just something eles to fail but when you consider how much work it will have to do!
Wonder in it can be turned on and off by its self of it just goes when the lights on?
