At least one medical marijuana dispensary in San Marcos was raided by law enforcement agents Thursday, authorities confirmed, and the homes of suspected medical marijuana providers in North County were hit, as well.

Authorities raided the Club One Collective, a medical marijuana dispensary at 1232 Los Vallecitos Blvd., a business park just north of Highway 78, said San Diego County sheriff's Capt. Mike Barnett.

"It was raided today along with several other locations throughout North County and Riverside County," said. "Evidence was seized and money was seized."

Earlier this month, a Vista-based judge granted the city a preliminary injunction barring operation of the Club One Collective, which ---- although it is a legally separate entity ---- has the same ownership as Medical Marijuana Supply Collective, a San Marcos dispensary shut down last year at the city's request.

Also, residences in Vista, Oceanside and Temecula were raided Thursday by the federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the San Diego Narcotic Task Force.

"This is ongoing, so I can't give any more details at this time," DEA spokeswoman Amy Roderick said in an email confirming that agents had been at the homes.

The homes hit by the raids were the residences of medical marijuana patients, said Eugene Davidovich, the director of the San Diego chapter of Americans for Safe Access, a national group that works to ensure safe and legal access to medical marijuana.

The raids were cause for concern for Davidovich.

"What we need are sensible regulations in San Marcos, not these SWAT-style raids on legitimate marijuana patients," Davidovich said.
