Auto Flower Virgin

Thx for the life cycle link I switched to early by the sounds, well u live and learn next time I’ll give it a try and see the difference :thumb:

Yes indeed, live and learn is the trick! I actually went ahead and started high stressing my auto's doing quadlining. That was before I figured out that you really don't have allot of time, so waiting for the plant to recover is costly. Wish I would have read that before I did it! Anyway, enjoy man!

Plus I put up netting which I’m still waiting to see if that was a good idea or not wish I’d found this site before I started I did do research just not enough next time I should smash them lol hopefully

How these girls looking for end of week 5 I’ve had a few problems and was wondering if they still going to produce or not in people s option thx

Can I get help with an auto flower feed schedule I’ve just started week 5 and got potassium deficiency in some and nitrogen excess in others and 1 is fine even though there the same blue cheese seed in the same environment drinking the same feed I used micro 3-0-1
Mag cal 3-0-0
Grow 2-3-5
Velokelp 1-1-1. Until I noticed bud formation then switched to
1.8 EC lvl with ; micro= 3-0-1
Bloom= 1-4-7
Velokelp = 1-1-1
MagCal= 3-0-0
Candy= 0-0-0
Astroflower= 0-6-14

Using PRO XL SUBLIME MIX and as stated on the bag a 6.0 to 6.3 PH is optimal which I generally land on 6.1

Any help would be great as they look a sorry state to me thx

It looks like you're using the Remo Nutrients line but you don't say how much you are using per gallon or liter of each product. If your ratio N to K exceeds 1:3 you can start getting all kinds of wacky lockout problems. When you start combining low N, higher K, Bloom feeds with high K Bloom boosters like Astro, it can be an accident waiting to happen. If you provide the numbers, I'll crunch the data and possibly have a recommendation.

Your a star and yeah remo it is and the first time using as well.
In 12 litres I use 15 mil micro, 17 mil bloom, 15mil velokelp, 10 mil mag-cal, 10 mil candy, 10 mil astroflower starting week 6 any help would be great thank you

I'm about to finish my shift at work, then I got travel time to home. Give me about an hour to get home and crunch some numbers and I'll get back with you.

OK, as I suspected, the Nitrogen to Potassium ratio is over 1:3. It's 1:4, and your blended N-P-K 1-2-4. See table:

Also, your mix was feeding 89ppm of Nitrogen. Normally I'm around 125 at what I consider full strength, which is what your plants are probably wanting at this stage. So I say it's a combination of bad ratios and starvation. If we make some adjustments, we can get the feed up to the proper level and get a better ratio of the elements. I like 2-1-3 as a go to blended N-P-K. To achieve this, try:

9ml Grow
18ml Micro
9ml Bloom
18ml Velokelp
18ml MagCal
18ml Candy
9ml Astroflower
*these numbers are based on your 12 liter nute mixing container you cited earlier

See Table:

Since things are out of whack, I'd do a "mini flush". I'd run straight tap water into them, about the volume of 1/2 of your container. Example: if you have 20 liter pots, run 10 liters of tap water through them to clear out any excess ions. You probably don't even need to pH this water you are going to do the "mini flush" with. That should give you some decent runoff with a peat based soil-less mix. Immediatly following your "mini flush" go right back in with your new nutrient solution, an amount equal to about 1/4 the size of your pot. Example: if you have a 20 liter pot, give them 5 liters of the new nutrient solution. On the new nutrient solution, I'd pH it to 6.5ish, which is what I like for peat-based soil-less mixes. With all the run off you'll have in this procedure, its easiest done in a shop sink or bath tub. Your plants will be well soaked and probably won't need water for several days thereafter.

Do you know what buddy fair play to finish work and then go home and do this for me is amazing and I can’t thank u enough super star in my book
I was just wondering if I need to keep it at that feed ratio till the end or will it need adjusting in the final week before the week flush and again thank you so much for your time effort and expertise it has been a massive help and I think u may have just saved my girls :woohoo:

I'd feed that from now till finish, barring any nute burn or other deficiencies. I'm not a "flusher" and I'll feed all the way up to harvest.

Ok great stuff lifesaver and again thanks for your time I couldn’t have asked for better so glad u reacted to that post best move I’ve made this week STAR. :tommy:

We'll hold off on the rock star stuff till they show signs of improvement. I've never used the Remo line although I have two of their Supercharged Kits I've won. Just going by numbers that seem to work well with several other nute lines and modifying Remo's recommendations slightly to get there.

Was just wondering for the next time around I was fine up until week 5 so normally when in the grow would start that feed that u recommend

As early as Day 21 if everything else is dialed in and the plant is growing fast. Otherwise probably Day 28.

Spot on I’ll do everything that u recommend and I’ll send u an update in a week and let u know how things are going mad how autos are so different to normal wasn’t expecting such a learning curve or is that the N.P.K ratio u use for normal seeds as well coz I thought I had them well dialled in never had many prblems anyway not as many as that I’ve needed to find a good forum

I'm subbed up to your thread now, so any post you make here I'll see.

I treat autos and photos the same. I run the same N-P-K ratios, from start to finish, and really don't treat photos any different than autos. There is less room for error on autos. If you mess up it's just lost time. If you mess up on veg with photos you just veg longer before the flip. I'm currently growing some photos but predominantly I'm an auto grower.
