Auto Fun At Ganjagrandaddies

Member of the month you nutbag. You got nominated.

I can’t get seeds. I’ve only got 2 left. Another Shiskaberry and a Wedding Cake.

Oh and I have loved planting and striking cuttings all my life. In fact I think I have been training for this moment. I’m definitely much better with clones than seeds.
I am amazed to be nominated. Been to check I had not missed it and I had. Lol. Thanks T.
I do think you have a green finger for sure and seeing the care and concern you add is a sure winner for nailing each project you have a go at. Are you in a bad lockdown now ? I know it can be hard getting seeds to Australia but is it worse than before ?

Yeah

The one site we have runs out with seeds almost immediately.

It's ok tho. I just need to be careful cloning.

May be worth keeping a huge mother plant for clones while it's hard to get them. I kept my whole grow going nearly a decade from 1 mother originally. Got so bored of the strain and saw some real mutations over its time too but seeds were never available safely. You could also try some colloidal silver on a limb to make a seed generating limb . That would be a great project to do too.

A quick update on proceedings so far and to shout out that my new light has arrived already. All safely delivered and well boxed with no obvious writing to share with the world. I am now frustrated and split on how to get it inboxes and running. With the new grow just started in the beds and still at least 6 weeks left before the Zamnesia girls finish their run , I am tempted to swap out the light and finish with the Viparspectra p4000. With an extra 100w to bring to the game , it could give a great harvest. My other option had been to wait until the others finish to start a new journal but that feels a long way off . l want to do the sponsor justice for the opportunity and gift of such a capable unit too so a diary for it is more appropriate. Any thoughts ?.

Aside from the dilemma ( poor me I know , lucky bugger atm. ) the girls are recovered already from the strip out and look like they still need one !!! I dodnnotice the signs of more calmag issue starting to show so will order some more today. I fed them with 12g Megacrop, 5ml pk warrior and 10ml sumo boost again today as they felt a little too dry on the top soil and just below a few inches too. And one or two pots felt light too. The buds are really starting to become the focus point now the stretch has about stopped on them and a canopy is forming nicely too. I did have to super crop one of the Amnesia haze #3 mains as it was trying too hard to get the light limits already. They all look a lot better with less Bush to them , airflow is easily put through the whole plant now as well. Hopefully mould will not find any stagnant pockets to develop into. The new diffuser works excellent at moving air though so hopefully in combination we wont see any more ever. So that's it for this one growmies. Keep smiling and being lucky , get some pics in the comps too ,you never know.. .

More of a pic bomb for this one but all going very well with the Zamnesia ladies who now look like they have never had a defol . I will be taking some more leaf out tomorrow for the final part of the cycle. Thwre are a lot of bud sites among this jungle and keeping the bud rot at bay will be primary . The new fast buds girls are finally hitting good growth rates now they have got used to the soil. Let's hope they can be contained .lol
I have been "tip spreading" them all to see if I can keep the nodes shorter. Fingers crossed.

PHEW that wa a long gap for an update guys. So sorry but been a very busy Daddy the last week or so with all these monsters prepping for Halloween and the littlest demon needing the attention. Lol . Finally got into gear with the new light and have decided to get moving on the new diary for it exclusively with the current Zamnesia Girls who are just entering week 4 of flower. As I still have the fast buds girls under the fc3000 and doing amazing , I will keep an update on them here to do the Fast buds genetics justice and not leave the diary hanging as such. It has been a long run with these autos and I have been impressed with the autoflower experience on the whole and seeing the way they grow and flower has been interesting too. Ideal for secret gardens with very little maintenance needed for decent results and with an automated watering system or dwc , life would be even easier for a more hands off grow style. The next run is going to be photoperiods after the Zamnesia girls finish. This will allow me to really push the light and space with plants I can work with a whole lot better. I will do another new diary for that so I can really review and show the capabilities of this new powerhouse of a light from seed to harvest. I had planned on waiting until these ladies finished but curiosity got the better of me and I opened the box !!!!( I avoided it as I knew seeing it would tip my resolve. Lol ) just the build and colour had me dragging it out and plugging it in !!!!. And there we have it , a new diary was seeded....... I have been keeping a photo update of the days since I started using it so will include them in an introductory post to the new diary , i will also provide a link to it in this one and will openly invite all of you to join the fun and test of the amazing prize I was lucky enough to win. ( more on this soon....)
The Fast buds ladies are doing really well and responding to the tip spreading better than I expected. All very low and with some very nice bud sites fighting among the shrubs. Even the small Mexicsn airline #1 has improved her growth now. #2 is anlot larger and has some very nice big fan leaves setting her up for flowering. She is showing a couple of female hairs now so i expect her to start stretching out a little soon.
Six Shooter are both doing good but the #2 is a little more mature than the #1 and has another of female hairs and pre flowers forming already. She is the biggest plant of the bunch at this point too.
Strawberry Pie are motoring along nicely and spreading out their huge fans too. I think it will be some chunky bonsai in the house. Lol
only being fed water and a little silicon after the biosys tea. No signs of any issues so far and the watering seems to be ok too. Be well and catch you very soon.

All looking good on the G Train :)
Toot toot. Lol. Thanks T. Looking good with the new light now too. Covers a slightly wider area so catching all the plants circumference. At the fun part with the flowering and bud porn so new diary should at least start with an interesting bump. Lol
Desperate to get back on to the photoperiods again now.
Hope your all good and red eyed with that curing bud.

I’m all good.

My Mimosa Eva is shaping up to be a star, and all my little monstercropped clones struck, so I’m back to too many babies!

Hey have you ever fridge cured?

There's that faith for ya. Thats a great position T. Keep the strongest after you put them throughbtheirnpsces a little . Plant any over in a good spot locally that you can giggle watching grow without anyone noticing. I did go through a stage of considering fridge drying with our old fridge but thought of running it on top of all the fans etc.. it is a good way to really do a low and slow dry and keep all those terpenes fresh and potent. If you have the space and means , give it a whirl.

Hey Sperminator :)

Yeah I am. I’ve started writing down all the bag temps coz I keep forgetting where I’m at lollll

I am going to grow one clone outside and two in the tent. Just need to decide who gets voted off the island. I think it will be the mimosa clone.

Those mimosa I grew are tall girls . Good choice if the mimosa is anything like the ones I have grown. I thought it was the lemon mimosa that seeded here so all the ones i grew have had the elongated buds. Good luck

Hi growmies. Hope we are all well and red eyed. I have continued the tip spreading as the only training applied and I have to say , the shapes are perfect for allowing the lowers to catch up with the slowed down main stems rush for vertical growth. I have 5/6 ball shaped bushes that allow all the growing tips to light with only a bit of leaf tucking the big fans. I have stripped the lowest tiny sprouts out as they wont develop with the shape I have now but the remaining growth can mostly be encouraged by just being in the light . It has meant I will have to watch the airflow more stringent to avoid nasties. It has given a very neat appearance to the ladies in general but mainly, it allows the light to really hit all the right spots. It will be interesting to see how much it affects final yields with my avg being approx 3oz per auto with some nice long colas helping hit this. Will the squat design that's being enforced make fatties or attempt to burst some longer cola growths ?. Adds a little different angle to this final run of autos after such a great period of easy growing and learning a bit about autos along the way . It has scratched the burning itch i had to do a perpetual run too.

It is the start of flowering for the fast buds ladies with all of them now showing their white female pistils , even the pygmy Mexican airline #1 is ready to roll. The soil has been no issue for them since settling in but the pygmy struggled initially so she seems to want to stay cure and girly unlike her #2 sister who has started to stretch nicely now. She has some very good potential mains coming through.
Sx shooters are both developing so well with this method and are nice sized balls with a lot of strong contenders formations too. #2 is by far my star of the grow though. She has been really quick to develop her female hairs and size. With stretch kicking in , I can see her potential for some great colas. With the huge fan leaves she had grabbing lumens I can only hope my imagination is right , having said that, I thought flared trousers , panda collars and spoon bill shoes made me look cool once !!.
Strawberry pie are both healthy and well but really fighting the mwthod of keeping them down. The sides are angrily stretching to compensate, while the merristem mumbles in protest at its interference.!! More designed to go for the moon , this strain develops less secondary piffle and clumps bud growth in the growing tips mainly. A lot of stem growth for no reason in a grow room In my opinion. Lol . I hope it works !!!. The pics dont do them justice in how healthy they look but with this crap camera it is still possible to see the benefits of tip spreading them for height. In a small area it could be the difference between choosing only small indica strains.

So there we have it. Flowering fun on the last auto run begins and I still have a couple of you with me . Thank you for your continued support and encouragement along the way. I hope it has been worth your visits as it has been to me to receive the comments and giggles. Got to love this community. We have 8-9 weeks to make it a grand finale . With a genuine heartfelt and projected thankyou , until the next one. Be safe and well and love like your life depends on it !!!!

DAY 4 flowering: yep thats right, we are in the best bit now growmies. With all the ladies showing their female hairs now and really starting to hit the growth spurt for stretch starting. I looked at them and decided a good defol and clean up could be on the cards.

I got busy and decided to scrub the small bits of lower growth out and a lot of the big lower fans. I also spent time re-routing a lot of the other fans to stop them light blocking the chosen final tips.
It was good to see what they had to actually focus on rather than all the green. Now they can stretch away and all find a good position for their flowering finale.

The soil beds are proving to be easy to maintain and keep happy too which was a concern with water logging or drying out in patches. So far so good and still just water with soil amendments and a little silicon. This should keep them sweet and happy and with a taste profile all fast buds.
Until next time growmies. Hope to watch you on my other diary too. We have bud porn there !!!!. Lol
I have told them they are my Last autos and that I expect a good run so fingers crossed. I am happy with the results of the tip spreading fun and can see how useful it could be in a tighter space not to mention the appearance it has given to them in their neatness and uniformity. I now have plenty of light and space to fill with chunky , stinky and sticky fast buds.

DAY 9 flowering: Hi growing buddies. Here we are in day 9 flowering with the stretch still going a little but mainly settling in now. I have been keeping them slightly moist to keep the bio life happy in the los and all are looking happy and well except the troublesome little mexican lady . This little Chica has found something again that she doesn"t like in the soil or maybe the bug spray I used. All the other plants look fine with it bit the #1 is looking toxic shocked. She has improved today from the pics yesterday but she really didn't like whatever it was.?.

Her sister on the other hand , has really used the stretch to spread out nicely with a really accessible stem and plenty of airflow. She is easy to leaf tuck with as the bud sites all have easy access to light so not much weaving to do for her.

The six Shooter are both doing really well. Buds are appearing in them now and are all in good spots for continued development .

#2 is particularly interesting with a great size and layout of her mains , she is a potential yield boss already.

The Strawberry Pie are competing with each other for top dog now I think but i will happily let them fight until they decide who won. Lol lots of really good sites to work with and plenty of potential now they can all get light.

Overall the beds are working really well with very little to do to them . The plants dont seem to be bothered about sharing root space and I imagine now , that they will be well intertwined in each bed.

I will be dropping 1 plant from them for the next run as the photoperiods will easily outgrow the autos with a decent veg period and training. With 6 weeks at least to go and space soon bei g available . I am going to start some photoperiods off and repot them during the harvest window. This should give them a good start on 18 hours alongside the autos. With that in mind , I bid you good day

DAY 15 Flowering : These ladies are going crazy with their stretch periods now. Even after the tip spreading and hope of less distance between nodes for flowering. They are all tall and around 2ft now and just starting to show real flowering. They have been kept cleaner lower down and they have a lot of space now for airflow too. I took the light higher as the Strawberry pie had nearly reached the fixture. Even the small Mexican airline has grown considerably in the stretch. I am disappointed by the height and node lengths and had hoped I could keep them better tamed. Nothing worse than long stems with no purpose. The buds that these strains produce are really top notch but I am not expecting a huge yield based on their structure now. Knowing the strain from previous growing , I do like the results so felt it was worth trying them under the fc3000 and in the soil beds. Both have performed excellent and the next project for these beds is already well into their planning stage.... The pictures of the past week and now should show how healthy they are too with just water and the odd biosys tea so far. I do think the Strawberry pie will be the better yielded and seeing how they are closing the node gaps , gives me hope . Lol
Been a very busy time in the real world but just about keeping up now . Lol
Be well growmies

day 16 flowering and all is well . I thought a few pics before I gave them a good watering was in order. Standing back I can see the potential more now. Their mode lengths are not what I like at all but it seems they have now finally set paths for bud development . Some good sized ladies indeed if I was not in a limited space and imagine a great outdoor grow with these monsters would be a huge yield . They look nice and vigorous with no real issues showing apart from a few cal mag spots. ( 10ml added to feed) . I love the beds so far but a fabric one would be better to allow real drainage rather than my guesswork and finger plunging.!!!. There is a new auto watering kit from the same company that made my original soil too. Will be looking into that instead of the risk of waterlogging or drying out too much . This los needs a damper touch than a normal wet dry cycle so I have to keep the goodies alive in there . Enjoy the snaps and be well

Hi all. Been a busy time trying to keep up.
These fast buds girls have designs on creating a whole new canopy style with the "wave" . Due to the huge differences in their genetics I now have a good 1.5ft front and 2.5-3ft canopy at the back of the beds. The Mexican are way shorter than the Strawberry pie and the Six Shooter are between the 2 for size in general. Ironic I got them in the right set up before I found out. Lol
The little mexican airline #1 has done an excellent job of catching up with their sister but is nowhere near as productive. The node lengths have stayed fairly good so not stretched to high up at all and there are some nice nugs getting light too
Six Shooter is dwarfing the Mexicans but even the smaller of the 2 is showing some nice production within that Bush now.
The 2 stars of the show have to be the Strawberry sisters. They want the room now and are not hiding that fact.lol . They are huge for autos indoor. Even with the node spacing as it is their bud formations are looking very promising for a Good yield. The soil had been fed with life cycle and charge this week and seems to be feeding them well enough so far. I am hoping that they dont show any signs of starving in the next few weeks . They are still only about half way through with lots of light and airflow. It is looking very promising. Heres a few pics of the ladies.

Be safe and well growmies.

Where the fuck have you been?

You don’t call! You don’t write!

I was worried. I thought you either got nicked or your young hot wife finally put you in a geriatric nursing home!

Good to see you G Banger :) grow looks like a packed house.
