Baked Alaska: Weird Growth

Heya all,
I've had some weird growing behaviour on one of my plants. Baked Alaska is the strain, I've been growing this strain for over a year now but have never seen anything like this. Originally I used to veg on 18/6 this time around I went 24/7. On a side note it was a massive difference in growth, the speed was phenomenal and the leaves are huge. Anyway, the weird growth is on the side branches, whenever a new shoot sprouts, it grows180 deg back over on itself to eventually grow 90 degrees to the branch. Also the new shoots are thicker than the branch they shoot from..Weird!! Other than that the plant seems to be really healthy and enjoying its environment. Any ideas as to what causes this type of growth (24/7?) would be cool just to know why :)

The photos don't do the situation justice, they are new growth shoots but they are folded 180deg back on the branch they shoot from, eventually to be 90deg from the branch rather than say 30deg.
The plant is happy otherwise!
