Hi folks, its Berrydizzle again. I was contemplating whether to put another grow journal up but these strains are just too amazing to not share with you guys. I won all my seeds on seedbay.com auctions. My picks were White Russian(WR), Purple Kool Aid(PKA) and Deep Chunk(by Tom Hill)(DC).

Here is the information about the strains from the buyers:
White Russian by BigTex - White Russian-I got from Serious seeds earlier this year. I grew 10 plants, 5 females, 3 males, and 2 hermis. The female I used flowered much earlier than the other 4 females. I would think that'll help the seeds I made slightly more early maturing than the originals. Not sure though. I pollinated her with pollen from two different males, so some of those seeds will be half brothers & sisters. As far as potency she was very potent and was a pleasure to smoke. My bro said it worked great for his back pain. Basically it should be the same as Serious seeds White Russian (that's just what it is). (No photos of his product)

Purple Kool Aid by Snagglepuss - (Purple Kool Aid) X (Grandaddy Purple x Double Purple Dojo male)....Which i call this new cross Groovy Grape.. Just wanted to make things transparant. As the seeds are actually Purple Kool aid crossed with Kens GrandaddyxDouble Purple Dojo .. not the strain itself.Purple kool aid by itself has really sweet smell thats very unique.

Deep Chunk by Tom Hill - Deep Chunk This unique broadleaf from Afghanistan was introduced to Northern California in the latter part of the 1970's. A fast flowering plant with thick stems, short internodes, and excellent resin production of the highest quality. The smoke is thick and full-bodied. Flavors range from skunk to Hashy pine, from grapefruit, to chocolate, to coffee. Deep Chunk breeds true for many traits and has earned a solid reputation as a valuable tool in many breeding programs. Yield: low/medium Flowering time: 8 weeks +/-

I have put down 10 WR, 4 DC and 6 PKA...all but 1 WR germinated. Now they are in rockwool...12 are sprouted, 1 sprout bent over and went limp(weakling, didnt want him anyway), and i am still waiting for the other 6 to break the surface.

This will be an all organic grow for the most part. I will be using FFOF soil, with the main nutes being Botanicare's line...Liquid Karma and Pure Blend Pro for Grow and Bloom. My supplements will be Purple Maxx and Gravity by Humboldt County, Hygrozyme to jumpstart the seedlings roots and I will also be using either AN Carboload or Botanicare's Sweet for carbs late in the
flowering stage.

I will try to post some pics of these strains after a bit. Looking forward to another great run with you guys.

Ok, so here is the first round of pic's for u guys.

First, some shots of the genetics that I have.
DC1.jpg

Deep Chunk...As u can see, this was a seeded plant, my seeds were from this batch.

DC2.jpg

Deep Chunk...No seeds in this one. Crazy THC all over the leaves. I will definately be using that for some bubble hash.

PKA.jpg

Here is the Purple Kool Aid. Only one I could find but these are the same seeds I got.

Here we got all the babies under the light. The light fixture is 48" long and 18" wide. Has 4 high output T5's, total watt output is around 225W.

Here we got the DC babies...2 are up from the soil, the other 2 are just breaking the top now. I put these seeds down 2 days after the others.

rsz_pb290020.jpg

Here we got the PKA's...they germinated in a matter of hours, that's why they are a little further along than the others.

And last but not least, the WR babies. All 9 are doing great.

Here are the bags we got the seeds in. Just thought I'd throw this one in there.

That's it for now folks...hopefully these seeds will start picking up here in a few days.

i almost went white rhino myself, it was a toss up for white rhino or white widow, i personally went with the widow because i love the pics im waiting on my seeds now.

good luck to you nice start

Thanks a lot buddy. The WR I am referring to is White Russian from Serious Seeds. It is a white widow x AK47 cross and the last time I grew them I had some serious White Widow phenos. You will have a great time growing that strain.

I will also be breeding during this grow. Have done this before and I hope to pollenate the WR and PKA with a Deep Chunk male(the stinkiest one of course.)

The plants are moving right along, working on their second set of leaves. Will have more pics up when there is a little more progress.

The DC babies...granted I put these seeds down a few day after the others, they are growing slow. But I have heard that this strain is slow growing.

rsz_1pc060002.jpg

The 9 WR...growing at a great rate, the leaves are fat as hell, should be a very short flowering strain.

rsz_1pc060003.jpg

The 6 PKA...growing at the same rate as the WR...the front left just popped a few days after the others. Fat ass leaves as well.

The whole set-up.

berry i lurked your previous grows... looking forward to following this one bro, should be kickassss! those strains look SICK!

Im looking forward to this one too bro. Hopefully the winter temps will help them show lots of purple. Some of the leaves of the DC and PKA already have some purple tints to them.

whats the temp in your room?.. and if it goes purp id b interested to know the temps then bro

Right now since I have the HPS going in the tent the room stays about 79...once we get into Janurary and Feburary then Im hoping to keep those down around 75 with the light on and 65 with it off.

Glad this journal is starting to get some replies. Thanks for all the kind words, Im hoping for a killer grow since my last grow I really got down the feeding and everything. Just watered a day or 2 ago and the plants have grown about another inch since then. They are really starting to take off. Going to FIM them soon as well.

Thanks Mary_juana, I was glad to get back out on the forum as well. For your question, I have never tried WR feminized, but I try to stay away from any feminized strains. Im a bio major and just can't seem to get past the fact that they will always be female...I just like to go with the natural way. I think feminized seeds have a bigger tendency to go hermie too, later in growth.
