Best quantum lights available?

A few things about drivers

I'm not as familiar with the type Ganja discussed but here is the type I use

Driver-Info.jpg

So let's talk qb288 bds
Each bd
Max watts =139.6
Max mA = 3000

So they usually come in 2 bd layouts

So the hlg-320h-c3500 would have the ability to max out both aspects of that dbl be

Now , like my Timber built qb288, I have as follows
Hlg-240h-c2100B
Max I can push is 229wa because of two things
H240 is max
C2100mA max

So both are limiting the maximum output

My builds with QB132 bds, 75w and 2000mA max is the h320-c2100B
With 4 bds I can max them out, if I want, and light up the sky ..lol
I usually run em at about 85% or a bit more

Hope this helps

P.S.

I like the wired dimmer, B style, easier to adjust since my drivers are stuck outa the way a bit

Also I don't use the wago clips, I solder all those connections

I also use an extension cord on my bds to driver connection

Easy to unplug and move or swap, and I can keep the driver outside the tent

Much respect. I'm very mechanically inclined but I can't solder worth a damn. I can sweat pipe (same basic principal) but you put the soldering iron in my hand and I turn epileptic. Wagos were a gift from the gods in my case.

Life’s full of choices.

So, yet another question,(or two)

Whats the differens between these two,

And wich one should I buy?

Chris, I was wondering when you run your driver outside of your grow area do you mount in a heat sink?

I place them on bricks or hang on the wall for good heat dissipation

288.2 is with the best diode on the market, and the 288.1 is with the second best diode on the market.
Both are awesome, but get the best if you can afford it :)

There is alot involved in driver types and especially how hard you drive your boards. My go to sources for info atm are Growmau5 and greengenes on youtube. They have just revived their old live stream too called tech talk.. led specialists.

I emailed the company where Tead and Graytail got their Q-board setups. Explained I was trying to replace the area currently covered by a 600w HPS, told them I don’t know much about LED terminology and have an IQ of 3, and asked if they could sort of hold my hand and help me understand the options.

Now I feel kinda like I’m holding hands with a mathematics major from the University of Planet Zeeblegrok12.

Anyone feel inclined to decipher this one for me ?
At least so far as to say whether it’s a good setup. I won’t be mad if you don’t.

Dear Kitty. Yes. Anything is not clear...

Seems obvious it must need assembling. Beyond that I don’t understand the numbers much. Nor do I necessarily care that much to wade through all the numbers if I can avoid it. It’s good to have that info available if you need it, but I feel like I have too many pursuits in life already to put in all the hours to learn this stuff and am just looking for a more user-friendly analysis. Thanks guys
:passitleft:

What are ya needing explained

X light
X driver
= QBs for your space for incredible lighting and HUGE PLANTS

Lol

Seriously though, how can we help

I don’t understand the numbers in the email from ‘Kitty’ I quoted. :hmmmm: before I start running all this gibberish through a search engine and then chasing down a zillion articles - I figured someone who’s already put in the mileage studying these may recognize at a glance wtf ‘she’ is talking about.
You nailed it Chris. I want to buy:
- a good driver
- a great light

NOT on my personal shopping list is:

“ 304 Plus FOLITE-240H-2 kits in 3000k+660nm 2pcs 304led plus pcb (Pcb size:286*174*1.6mm, 49-137w, 102-114v, 480-1200mA, 256pcs samsung 3000k leds and 48pcs Epistar 660nm leds), 1pcs HLG-240H-C12100B MW driver, 1pcs 632*195*10mm”

I’m pretty sure I don’t know how to pronounce that.

Most is just the diods and such, didn't mean a lot
She is giving size and info of the bds, diods and drivers

The 304 is the QB bd, she says get 2 sets

Qb304 Google it
FOLITE-240H is the driver

Lots of info on the Alibaba lights, just like she posted
