Well hiker I have only used the mars2 80x5watt in a 6ft tall tent and I get solid buds all the way to the base of the plant, minus the hang of about 4-5 inches, and smartpots height of 8-10 inches so from the light to the Coco it's 5 ft give or take and I feel if I could get the light another foot up it would provide a better sweet zone, don't know if that helps any .

So you think the 5W diodes are able to penetrate further than you have room for. Sounds perfect to me. I'm planning to hang mine about 1-2" from the ceiling to allow the fans to intake air. I'm assuming the intakes are on top like my e# reflector lights?

So I'm gonna guess the lights are ~24" from teh tops of your plants, so of that 5', you're getting about 3' of growth. That's pretty good! I think 1000W HPS is only around 32" if ideal range.

Yup I'd say they penetrate deeper than my 400 or even the 600 hps with usable bud producing light, and I don't seem to need to remove as many fan leaves (defol) I've noticed that even when I let the canopy go and get very dense,there's not any yellow withered shoots & leaves like with the hps, it seems like one of 2 things is going on...1 they are getting so much usable light energy that undergrowth is getting the nesessary energy to stay healthy & productive...or 2. The light is penetrating thru the leaves and reaching the lower parts well enough to support healthy growth, or maybe a bit of both in any case I definatly feel they are able to penetrate deeper with more growth energy rich light, even tho they sometimes don't seem as bright as mh & hps but they key thing we all have to remember the light our eyes perceive is not the same lights plants use and need some of the more useful spectrum bands plants like are not as visible to our eyes, that's the part I had to wrap my head around but I do get it now !

The 3 girls are doing good growing slowly due to recent defol,low temps and CS spraying, I've been exploring this new 55inch 4k ultra HD/ led/3d//smart/WI-fi/ magic remote TV we just got omg I love 3d TV it can convert any thing on the screen to 3d so I'm looking at the forum in 3d and all I can say is 3d nug porn is breathtaking!! I'm posting from the TV right now it has an app I can use to control the TV 's mouse ,keyboard etc or type with my Bluetooth keyboard, technology is amazing....and I thought my 47in LCD 1080p was badass! 4k ultra HD is hard to describe ,,imagine 1080p x 4 ,unbelievable! Rent a center baby!
It makes the forum look all new detail in the pics I never saw before, I'm stuck in front of it can't move.............
The best part by far is almost no $ to get it here and total cost will be under 800$ the compromise is it came used with no remote or glasses...4 pairs brand new from the big online jungle site 13$ free app from the playstore fixes no remote issue,,the TV sez it's been used less than 500 hours since it was built,(it has a usage meter) from retail we save about 1500$ square trade does 5yrs for 100$ makes me excited to get on the forum with a 55 inch screen to look at everybodys work!

Grats on the new boob tube BID. Having a smart tv or pc connected to your tv or w/e is the best thing ever. I started about 5 years ago running my TV from a pc connected to a media server and haven't paid for cable ever since and couldn't be happier. Well maybe I could be if I had that fancy new TV your rocking

I updated my post with the $$ part,,I've been hooking my laptop & PC to my TVs for a few yrs too, but with wifi built in it can see all my shared media and streamed my HD movies and converted to 4k 3d with no stalls or buffering, it's wifi can do 1k mb!

nice being a studio rat and gutarist im a bit of a audiophile my audio for tv is a marantz 7.1 w/optical ad hdmi pass thru receiver barometric eq 100 WATS per channel, polk powered dual 12 inch subs and center bar,main front left & rights are acoustic audio liquid cooled poly 12 inch woofs 5 in mids 2,5 peizo tweets and polk surrounds 3in i believe (i want to upgrade to powered 6 inch) but total neighborhood shaking thunder good thing i have no heighbors

lol no i checked my babies all but the snowdawg and 1 auto are up and i trimmed up 18 wet oz of sour d 2 yesterday hopin for at least 6 dry rock solid nugs red/purple leaves, my biggest indoor plant yet 100% led grown ty budmasterII

no turntable sadly it died but i do have a nice pro grade mastering tape deck, and red book standard cd mastering console 12 channel mixer and a host of studio rack mount effects and signal processors does that count?

A few years ago I would have said yes, but music is starting to come out on vinyl again in a decent amount. If I had the cash I'd be getting me one of them laser turntables, but since I don't have a spare kidney to sell I will have to wait a bit.

vinyl might be fun again i loved my rare import record collection of face melting death metal from all over the world, then some bit((h face stole them some of those records would be worth 4-5 benjis now i had venom black metal 1st printing on neat records label todays equipment would make vinyl sound amazing, my digalog casettes sound very good, i love the warmth of analog recording process, sadly ive spent so much time in sound production i dont hear the music i hear the recording every hiss,pop,hum,tinny,oversaturated,under/over compressed over boomy, flaw in the mix, i can eve hear what mics they used or if they went direct, it sucks and i dont enjoy music like i used to the last perfect recording i can remember is the black album and i dont much care for the music but the production is one of the best ever done, but old 4 track records like the beatles used to make and elvis,50s rock all sound so good to me, slayers last couple are pretty clean, i sometimes wish i didnt learn recording i might have to get oe of those spinners i was looking at on ahm uh zhon
