black flies

hya all-rite im 1 month in 2 my 1st proper grow in compost/perlite
4 doin well-no sex yet
neway ive noticed the little black flies that run more than fly?they dont seem to b doin anything
nothin on the plants
has nebody come across anything like that im in the uk btw

Their larva may harm the plants root system.

Neem and sticky traps should clear things up.
Maybe some ventilation too

dunno about gettin neem in the uk i think theyre there because it warm
ill try them sticky things didnt think of usin them thanks for that-
got a big fan on em and vent just cant see em-;p

Neem oil should be available in any hydro shop. If you have any close by to you I would check it out. At the very least get a bunch of sticky traps. The more the better. If there mostly running around you wanna make sure you get some flat sticky pads and place them directly under your plants. Hanging ones are a good idea as well.
