Bubblicious & Pineapple Express
3 month veg
outdoor to indoor
Soil
50/50 mix of fox farm ocean forest & happy frog potting soil
5 gallon bucket
two 2x4 8 bulb T5s
steady room temp of 68-72 F
Water PH 5.5-6.2
water once a week
Cal-Mag only

Hello, this is my first attempt at indoor growing and i built the grow room as a host for a new breeding project ill be working on. The room has interior dimensions of 8'x8' with a ceiling height of 8'3''. the whole box was built to local code and took about 2 days to construct with the help of a friend. At the moment i have two 2'x4' eight bulb T5 light fixtures in the box while i wait on my 4 240v Gavita DE 1000w fixtures to arrive. The plants that are in there now are two bubblicious and two pineapple express that i had outside in 1 gallon pots until they were root locked. I just brought them in and placed them into 5 gallon buckets for the time being. They have had no nutrients other than cal-mag. I am using these plants mostly to test out trimming and training techniques and see how the environment in the grow room is effected by the plants so i can stabilize and tweak everything before the breeding project starts. I am currently looking into options to waterproof and seal the whole room airtight. As i am sure i will be making quite a few other changes along the way

Just did some extreme trimming the new lights should be up and running in the next day or two. Then we are gunna go for a 3-4 week veg and then straight to flower. I'm looking for new nutrients, organic if possible what does everyone use and how do they like it?

Hey Nivek, thanks for the follow. These 4 plants are kinda my trimming and training experiments one of the pineapple express and the bubblicious are getting low stress trained while the other pineapple express and bubblicious get the branches pinched and bent down. I also top every top once it has grown 4 nodes. So the plants are extremely bushy and in a few days all the bottom nodes will catch up to the top and ill have a very dense even canopy (that's the plan atleast)

Quick update, all the lights came in one was broken in transit so I will try to get a replacement as soon as possible. Other than that two lights are hung. If you have never used or seen gavitas in action it's like a ball of sun in a lamp they are amazing. I have them hung as high as possible on the lowest setting. I'm still worried my plants will stress out with the adjustment.

Another update, the two lights running keep the box about 20°F warmer than the outside temperature without any heat or A/C and without any venting in or out. The two top plants are the bubblicious and the two bottom are the pinapple express. Can't wait to see what training techniques work best. On another note humidity in the room was 30% so I am running a normal home humidifier on my light timer so it turns on and off in 15 minute intervals. This keeps the humidity about 50% give or take. Also I built a shelf right outside the door to store all the miscellaneous stuff I need.

Looking good in here. Those gavitas are insanely bright. Just wait until you kick on all 4 into high gear! Do you plan on putting up panda film on the walls and floor? We just did that in the veg and flower rooms this last month and there is a huge difference compared to without it. Well worth the money.

@Nismo yes I have to drill the holes for the power and ducting and then the box will be insulated and finished with reflective film

Re: BlackWoelf's Grow Room Build & Breeding Project - 2016

Outside temperature is between 40-50°F here this time of year so when I was hanging the lights and had the box open for an hour it got to about 40 and then back up to 75 in an hour or so

Another update, I decided to low stress train the other two plants to get more bottom branch growth. Also the last 2 pictures are one of the plants with leaf yellowing and curling I believe this is a light/heat stress issue so I turned the lights down and raised them to thier highest point.
