Bong Buying

Hey guys I have a question that may sound kind of dumb but im really not sure of the law on this one. I was walking in to Big Al's in Berkeley yesterday to purchase some new glass when a kid that looked to be maybe fourteen/fifteen came up to me and asked me to buy him a bong. I said no but maybe if he went in and asked to buy they would let him because i used to do the same thing. Sure enough they let him purchase his glass and he was amazingly happy but i wasnt sure whether its legal to do this or the employee was just being a nice guy?

Not sure how things work down there but pretty much everywhere I've been you have to be 18+ to purcahse any weed smoking devices or accessories as they are officially classed as "tobacco accessories" as to avoid prosecution. However I know of a few places that will sell to just about anybody.

here in canada ive seen the guy kick some girls out of his shop because they clearly werent 18 years old

It's funny how where i'm at you can buy bongs/pipes but not papers and lighters if your not of age.

It varies here and it kinda depends on what time of day and what day and what shop. But luckily theres enoguh glass shops here that I never had a hard time finding one to sell to me.

yeah its totaly illegal for a 14 year old to buy bongs.....the clerk was just being a nice guy..im sure hes been down that road
