Bubba Kush / GDP Quadline - First Grow

Anyone have some advice/ideas here?

I'm seeing the burn tips and it's bothering me that it seems to be progressing.

I'm thinking its the soluble Cha Ching because of the high Nitrogen in it. Why would they put so much Nitrogen in something that is intended for mid-late bloom? If I remove it from feed for a couple of feeds, how much is it going to hurt me by not having all the phosphorus?

Cha Ching (9-50-10) I don't think im using it at full strength. Probably around like 75% i don't use full 1/4 tsp.

I also notice they mention on their website to only use once a week, I've been using twice a week. I'll leave it out of my next feed to see if that helps any at all.
I've never used a product with that much phosphorus. They don't need it. Bump down the phosphorus by a factor of 10 and add a bit of potassium and that would be a good NPK for a seed to harvest nutrient.

You don't think that nitrogen is too high for this stage in flowering?

I'm gonna cut it back to once a week at beginning of week. Leave it out of next feed for sure and hopefully it slows it down.

Today is start of week 6 flower, so I'll be moving to the week 10 of feed schedule below.

Previous weeks feed included..

Big bloom (0-0.2-0.5) is organic, very low anything. I use full strength of this.

Tiger Bloom (2-8-4) I use 50% strength because it drops my ph down into low 5s, 1 tsp gets me where I need to be.

Boomerang (2-0.2-0.3) I use full strength.

Microbe Brew (1-0.2-0.3) full stength

Cha Ching (9-50-10) I don't think im using it at full strength.

Even with the Cha Ching you're only at 36 ppm of Nitrogen, right?
Maybe my math is wrong. @InTheShed is better at that part than I am, maybe he'll have a better answer.
By the way, if you use full strength Tiger bloom it'll only raise your nitrogen to 61 ppm nitrogen. My flowering plants are at 112 (again, assuming my math is right).

If I did all my data entry correctly (most of those I didn't have in the database), week 10 comes out to:

264-212-226 with Ca: 0, Mg: 13, and S: 13

which is insane.

Here's how I got there:

And here are the results:

I won't swear to these numbers because I don't have time at the moment to double check all the data entry, but four of those bottles have nitrogen, three have phosphorus and potassium, and one has so much phosphorus it's ridiculous.

And the Ca, Mg, and S numbers are also odd.

I'll double check these later today and report back with any anomalies.

I missed the GrowBig. It wasn't in the list he gave.

Insane as in way too high? Ive got a feed tomorrow and I know I definitely need to make an adjustment somewhere because those tips haven't slowed down any.

I think for starters im removing the Cha Ching at least from this feed and perhaps the next after.

Yes, and with zero calcium and very little magnesium.

Feed what you have been since they look better than they will after the week 10 formula. I don't see the tips as that problematic yet.

Stick with what's working and I'll try to check all the numbers later tonight. Been a bit of a crazy day today.

So I'm understanding, you're saying don't switch to week 10 schedule. Sorry man long day and I'm tired haha.

Dude at your convenience, I definitely appreciate the help. I understand I had a crazy day myself.

Okay I double checked all my inputs and did miss a few micros and a bit of magnesium, but week 10 is no mix I personally would ever recommend.

Week 6 (leaving out the microbits in Kangaroots and skipping the foliar) looks like this:

And gets you here:

That's 95-161-164 with Ca: 0, Mg: 13, and S: 20.

I'd call that low in nitrogen, calcium, and magnesium and possibly potassium, but way too high in phosphorus.

I can see if a whole different mix would be better (haven't found one I like yet working with the list of what you have), or you can stick with week 6 since the flowers look pretty good, but add 10ml of the FF cal-mag to get your Ca up to 80 where it belongs with that K value. It will also bring your N up to 122 where I think it should be.

Dude I appreciate this so much. So week 6 feed plus the cal-mag. It's crazy to see such high numbers but seems as if the feed schedule would be why. They looked good until around when I started with the cha ching.

I've read a lot about tip burn and how it's not usually an issue if it's slow progressing and means there are plenty of nutes available to the plants. I'm a worry wart though and can't help but worry it's going to have negative impacts on my yields and or quality. For me personally any sign of stress from them I want to fix, I'd rather not let the burn progress.

@InTheShed ill take that word of advice and discontinue use for it. It is a slow progression but it is progressing. I've pinched some leaf tips off to see how they look 24 hours after and you can see the yellowing starting.

Feed today was week 6 but only 1 tsp of tiger bloom. PPM was 700ish about 6.1ph. We will see how she is looking in a few days.

Theyre both so frosty already I cannot wait to see some real bud profile! I thought Bubba Kush might produce some smaller size buds but she seems to be fattening up as well now.

You might be dropping the K too low by cutting the TB so keep that in mind. Cannabis is K hungry in flower.

I can rerun that for you later so you'll know what effect it has

I just need to make the time to hit the garden supply and grab some ph up. I never had issues with low ph in my feeds until that Tiger Bloom stuff haha. It's super low ph for stability. I dunno what it's ph is but it's low for sure. My tap I add 12 drops of ph down to get 6.3-6.4, 1 tsp of that stuff I'm dropping to 6.1, 2 tsp I'm low 5s.

If you can man I'm grateful, if not I'll see how they like what we done today.
