Bubbler system?

I'm thinking about building a bubbler hydro system. though it seems to be quite simple I'm not sure how much water I should put in it. Do I fill it to the top so the grow cups are totaly in the water? Or just below so the roots can dangle in the water?

Untill you have a good root system hanging out of the cups you want it to have the cup about an inch in the water. Once you have a good root system you can have it so just the roots are in the water.

Is that the same set up you got NoDirt? Just curious because I'm already looking at stuff for my hydro set-up. I have the tubs already, but they are clears so I'm going to paint them black befor I make the system.

I use the General Hydroponics Flora series. Works great for me.
