Bud 'N' Breakfast — New Travel Site Offers Cannabis Friendly Accommodation

While most hotels, hostels and homestays ask guests not to smoke inside, a new travel site is actively encouraging people to smoke weed at their lodgings.

Bud and Breakfast is basically a property listing site that advertises itself as a "cannabis friendly accommodation site".

The weed-loving website currently has around 160 friendly hotels, cannabis vacations and marijuana rentals in 12 countries around the world.

The site was set up by Sean Roby and Shayan Bastani, from Colorado, who were inspired by the recent legislation to legalise cannabis in the state.

And the concept is proving to be hugely successful as the business already has more than 100,000 registered guests.

Properties include everything from glamping tipis in Colorado to luxury retreats in Jamaica and cosy cottages in Hawaii.

Each host sets their own rules about when and where guests can smoke. In countries where smoking is legal some properties even offer cannabis experiences.

This might be anything from a joint on your pillow before bed to a weed-infused cooking class.

"The days of the mundane, sterile and boring hotel room experience is quickly falling away to a new generation of travelers who want to really feel a place in its authenticity," Sean told Metro.co.uk.

"Our hosts are 'heroes' in the respect that they are 'wikipedias' of knowledge for their given area and for us specifically, all things cannabis related."

"It could be a farm tour, a dispensary tour, an infused meal, a local show or cannabis related event. Our hosts KNOW cannabis and help us provide an all inclusive experience," he added.

To book either enter the destination you are hoping to visit in the search bar or view all properties on the Bud and Breakfast website.
