ahh yes, the clone wars ;) haha

OK so I think I have put everyone's advice into consideration, and upgraded my entire setup...in the pictures you can see that I have buried the girls up to their neck in soil, in order to recoup some stability the lacked from being in the teacups.

I was also fortunate enough to get a fat nug of Trainwreck...holy crap dude.
Stinky/Skunky and there is no way you aren't coughing at least a little off that very first blast. Nice and balanced high, no paranoia/anxiety and not too stoney. :cough:

Are the girls far enough along to determine what strain they are, or at least what general variety? someone mentioned I could have a potential pure sativa in there (all seeds came from the same bag) so nailing down what I have would be awesome. pics show the girls chugging right along.

Is the progress good enough to not mess with nutes/light times yet?

yea, you really wanna wait till it's about 8"-10" high before you mess with times, that's what I've heard at least

it stays ~70 degrees - the box has a normal box fan at the front - it prolly changes the air out every 1/2 second lol

Checked out both your grows, good stuff. Thanks for visiting my grow too.
Your survey topped out at $1,000. Let's just say mine was a wee bit more than that. :)
Good growin'
swampgas

thanks kind sir - hopefully you find something in one of my threads useful.

Group shot update

A question for you guys: What is causing the two plants pictured to have crispy/brittle leaves (only the bottom set, the rest of the growth looks good), and is there anything I can/should do? I hypothesize that because I didn't have any cooling the first week or so of growth, maybe I cooked the leaves, but I don't know.

update: moved the girls to the closet and am vegging using the floros from my last grow - gonna use the enclosure with cfl's for flowering clones and prolly do SCRoG. The time the plants spent under the CFLs was good for them - stems are really stout, and there is solid compact growth so far with little to no stretching. pH meter is getting bought tomorrow.

dude, i never realized that's a ghost busters cardboard in the back, insane! awesome

now that you mention it, i agree with phatblunt, they do look a bit over watered

update with pics:
pulled one straggler that was looking really weak, and just transplanted to 2 liters and wanted to ask if i should water right away, since they got watered 2 days ago in their small cups (which were root bound), or wait a day or two?

Do the containers have holes in the bottoms for drainage?
Yes it appears the Ph needs to be raised.
Are these going to remain in these bottles till finished?
If so Coca Cola wants their royalties from advertising. (just Kidding)

yes, the containers have drainage holes.
i am in the process of getting a pH meter. is there a way for me to blindly raise pH a little?
i will be transplanting to 2 gallon containers when these become rootbound.
