Bugs

I have little bugs that are living in the dirt. They look like natts and they fly around and seem to like hanging around the lights. They are not eating the plants,not that I can see!? Anyone out there could tell me what they are ,and or doing any damage to my crop?

Sounds like fungas gnats which don't do harm to your plants BUT they lay eggs and the larvae will eat your roots.

I highly recommend going with SNS-203 which is meant for fungas gnats and will kill them. Here is a link to the product.

Thank so much you've been a grate help! And your right They are fungas gnats. I get the feeling that they in the soil that I bought and started out with. Of course I bought a organic soil with worm castings. So could you reconmend a good brand name soil that doesent have the gnats alreaddy in it?

Most soils heavy in organic matter have fungus gnats. That means you got some good things in it. I would just do what jj bones said and just treat them. Dont scrimp and get the small bottle its only enough to do a few plants once. You need to disrupt their breeding cycle by following the directions.
They are not that big of a deal really just pesky.
