Build Your Own LED Grow Light

I looked on e-Bay. As usual, you have to really look to find what you need. I'm starting to hate that site, as the descriptions are set so all kinds of unwanted junk shows up for almost any search. Anyway, I found them described as '30pcs Wago type 412W 413W 415W Universal Compact Wire Wiring Connector terminal' for $17.50 USD with free shipping.

It's a variety pack with ten each of the 2, 3, and 5 terminal connectors. It can take 4 - 6 weeks to arrive.

Shipping to / from Australia is very expensive. I've had to do it several times, and it usually cost more than the item itself.

I love them too and just got my first one with my cob light.....will use them a lot.

The first ones were very easy to snap your fingers on they were a bit stronger. But the new ones are very easy to jam in to a box!

Soon you won't remember the time before wago. :thumb:

Thanks PGR (@PurpleGunRack).
Yeah - the wago word seemed to stuff up my search results. In any case, I was lucky enough to get a recommendation for a place here that actually specialise in DIY LED builds.they have the ones I want I’ll call them today - should be sorted.

This! ^^^^ Absolutely - often doubles the price.

Thanks everyone for helping me out!

Do they have an opening? I could use a few myself.

Actually, I usually solder my projects together.

Sure you can swing by tomorrow and have a fist full if you want to. :welcome:

Yeah, soldering holds upp. The wago is good when you tampering and tinkering the stuff, in my case the tinkering stage become standard... :adore:

I got a question. Has anyone been through a full grow with full spectrum led's? My buddy who is doing everything in his power to turn me away from leds is telling me using full spec in veg will turn my plant into a hermie and/or stunt the growth.

That is BS.....don't believe all of that. Hermie plants have to do with genetics not lights.

Go Look at @Van Stank grow. Those are full spectrum LEDs and tell me what you think. His plants are HUGE!!!

I think your buddy is real hardcore about his hids? You can't close your eyes from this revolution that have taken place with led.

That's what I'm thinking. He keeps saying "I've used leds", I have a buddy using Blackdog leds" "and I still grow better meds. I don't think he realizes led tech has come a long way in the last year or so
"better meds" have to do with environment, not lights. If you have the right amount of light, the rest is about knowing how to grow.

Yes, I was very convinced myself for only about a year or so that leds was never going to match up for 1kW hps grows. But this is a fact today. There is more advantage of leds than just watt issues. The heat is more manageable and you get more even light spread.

BS! Check out my first (also last) completed grow. My yeid was 0.47gm/w from the wall. The link is in my signature.

Might be worth buying for seedlings and clones...
If at a bargain price......25% of what you can buy at local big box store.

Sounds like your buddy needs to repeat some primary school science classes :)
Counter question: The sun is true ''full spectrum'' and plants don't hermie outdoors so why would they do so indoors?

''Full spectrum'' is a term made up by LED salesmen and can mean just about anything.
Hermies are either genetical or because of stress from light leaks, heat, being rootbound, toxicity etc.

There's no hocus pocus in this game it's rather simple to measure light/heat output.
