Building A Box

So I want to start a grow and I have a friend that will build me a grow box but I need a little help deciding how big a space I need. At harvest a good 4oz would be my ideal goal, but being my 1st grow Im not expecting it ha. Not sure the best material to use for the grow box either. Im going to have 5gallon bubblers that are about 11"x14"x10" to take in account for also. I don't want anything too tall because it's a somewhat stealth grow. Any suggestions appreciated.

What types of lights are you planning to use? That will determine how tall it needs to be. What type of grow are you planning to do? If you're going hydro, you'll need extra room for your reservoir and whatnot.

4 plants at an ounce each should be fairly easy to do, provided you have the space, lights, and environment in line. A 4 foot wide, 2 feet deep and 6 feet tall should get you there...bubblers and all.

I think 6ft tall is alittle too big for what I was thinking, do you think I could get away with a 4 1/2ft box? I was thinking a scrog might do well with my height issues. As for lights I'll probably start out with some cfls.

S4L is on the right track! by the time you deduct the lamp and it's clearances, and the containers you use you're down to 4 feet clear real quick.

this is the box started with and Ive decided to use it as a veg chamber and then build a flowering box. Just wondering how should I go about making it light proof?
