Hey 420 mag, welcome to my new journal.
I’ve been growing for a couple years mostly doing autos just for personal use and for sharing with friends. I’m always swamped with work which is why I haven’t journaled too much in the past, so bear with me hopefully I can keep up with this one.

I have a 30”x30” 72 inch tent
1 mars hydro 2 400, I think it pulls 150 or so and a Samsung 135 quantum board.
The strains, Seedsman white widow, and Fast buds west coast og. Both autos
Coco with about 25% perlite
Just switched to general hydro 3 part nutes, following their drain to waste schedule.
It’s been pretty hot here in the Midwest so temps have been about 82 of a high with about 40% humidity, not ideal but it’s ok
This grow is already 3 weeks under way so I’ll update with some pics on what how it’s gone so far.

Here the girls, I like to soak them in tap water for 24 hours then into moist paper towels until they form a decent tap root.

Here’s some pics of the coco brick prep, rehydrates and thoroughly rinsed all the coco dust out. I did this in the bathtub, my better half wasn’t happy, but she loves the finished product so it’s fine :Namaste:.
I also dunked the pots in 7.5 mils cal mag per gallon for 24 hours drained and repeated the process. Apparently this is the proper way to buffer coco, wish I had known that a year ago as I’ve always had deficiencies once flowering starts

Looks really good man. Im watchin this one... have you grown seeds from 420 fastbuds before? Good Genetics?

Your QB its pullin 150w max? Do you plan to train the plants or let them do there own thing?
Hey Cadboy, thanks for stopping in. Yeah I think fast buds has decent genetics. I love their Girl Scout cookies, small yielder but excellent smoke. I did their blue dream also, much better yield about 5 ounces but the smoke always left me wanting more.
Yeah for this grow I’m just leaf tucking, it’s too late to top the widow is already showing pistols.

Day 25 from sprout.
The white widow and the OG are showing preflowers, the widow is 15” tall and the OG is 12”.
Just mixed up a transition feed of 4 mls micro, 4 mls gro, 4 mls bloom, 1 ml floraplus and 2.5 ml of calmag per gallon.

Currently giving them about 1 liter of water per day. Once flower starts I’ll try to water them at least twice per day. I have a vacation planned towards the end of flower, so I’m going to start looking for a simple automated water system. I was thinking a submersible pump in a 5 gallon bucket on a timer and maybe a cpl drip rings. If anyone has experience with something like that feel free to chime in.

Day 27 update
Both girls are in preflower and looking pretty good. The og kush is so squat and bushy, I saw some water drops on 2 fan leaves from transpiration so I took about a dozen leaves off her to open her up a bit.

I’m liking the structure on the white widow, nice and airy, seems like she is already stretching a bit. She does have some clawing leaves up top, not really burnt tips but just slightly lighter.
I backed my nute mix down to about 75% recommended per the GH schedule, just mixed up 5 gallons at 673 ppm, pH 5.92

Day 29 update
Both ladies are currently in flower and looking nice. No real issues to report.
I’m hoping they are about done stretching and start focusing on bud production.
The white widow stands at 24” and the OG is 18”.
Just mixed up 4 gallons of solution of the week 5, early flower mix slowly introducing liquid kool bloom.
Mix is 700 ppm at 6.1pH

Day 37 from seed
Plants are looking great and I think they finally stopped stretching. I supercropped the white widow a week ago to keep her main stem somewhat level with the rest of the canopy.
Both plants are 30” tall at this point and real bushy, my tent is crowded:goof:
Flowers are just getting set, I just mixed up week 6 of the General hydro Dtw schedule.
700 ppm ish at 6.07 pH.
Currently using about a gallon per day per plant, only once per day.
This is my first time using GH and been really impressed with the results so far. Getting excited to see some serious bud growth in the coming weeks.

What’s your light cycle? I’m running 20/4 cause I like a little dark period.
How early did you start feeding the seedlings? Right away?

They look nice, that’s why I’m curious.
I like 18/6 for autos. I do lights on at 6pm just to help with temps as it’s hot and humid in the Ohio valley right now.
I’m growing these in 3 gallon pots of coco perlite mix.
So yes I start feeding from sprout a super light mix
