Border Patrol agents found another large load of marijuana Tuesday night on the Tohono O'odham Nation near the village of Gu Vo, Border Patrol officials said.

At about 8 p.m. southwest of the village of Gu Vo, located southwest of Tucson on Federal Route 1 on the Nation, agents discovered 189 bundles of marijuana in two trucks hidden in the brush, the press release said.
The 3,626 pounds of marijuana has an estimated street value of $1.8 million, using figures from the Arizona High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, the federal anti-drug analysis and intelligence center.

The trucks - a 2004 Dodge and a 2003 Dodge Ram - were reported stolen from Mesa. Agents didn't find any suspects, the release said. The trucks were transported to the Border Patrol's Ajo Station for further processing and turned over to the Tohono O'odham Police Department. The drugs were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Marijuana seizures are up 35 percent in the Sector over the previous fiscal year, Border Patrol figures show.
