Week 3 update

Went ahead and topped all 3 ladies. The SFV is not autoflower like the 2 Mephistos. Not even sure sex yet, but Im going to treat her the same. Last grow of autos I did very minimal LST. I want to push them a little bit this time. About time to up-pot the Valley, roots are hanging from drain holes.
Cheers!

Decided to bend the Sams. Limbs were long enough. Good response from the topping. This lady is twice as big as her sister Ripley. Will wait a few days to bend the Ripley. Also up-potted the Valley...moving it outdoors, as Im not sure sex yet. May start a separate journal for it. Aside from being dry, temps are actually warm. Mid to upper 80's. The 2 autos are already showing pistils, and theres simply no room for a 3rd girl in a 4x2.

Week 4 Update

Both ladies have responded well to the training. I am still running Botanicare grow schedule at 50% every 3rd or 4th watering. Overall canopy height between the 2 is pretty close so I think I'll let them take off and wait for flower. Cheers!

Week 5 Update

Its crazy to me how fast autos move once they put out a few pistils. The both of them are keeping up with each other. The Ripleys on the left is producing far less fans, but appears she will have nice bud structure. The Sams is more leafy but still plenty of bud sites. I will continue to resist defoliating, just gonna let em do their thing for a while. Nutes are now bloom cycle, 100% strength, every few waterings. Light schedule now 12/12. Happy Thanksgiving!

Week 6 Update

Ended up tossing the SFV...after a couple weeks outdoor, finally spotted a male flower. Bummer! Brought the indoor girls out for some fresh air and sunshine, just a tease lol Keeping bloom nutes the same, tho they are demanding more frequent watering. Finding I'm glad I went with the slightly smaller pots...growth is not out of control. I'm able to fit 2 strains in the 2x4 vs the single giant bush last grow(plus it was DWC). I need a 2nd tent me thinks. Cheers!

Week 7 Update

These ladies germinated October 22nd. Today is day 51, day 17 flower. Very happy with progression for the most part. Downside is I believe I have pests, maybe thrips? Tiny white dots on a couple fan leaves. No negative effects at this point yet. Will reach out for positive ID. Other than that, still pushing full strength bloom nutes. May back off a bit, leaf tips are barely showing burn. Have a great week!

heya friend,,

funny reveg type growth goin on there looks like

as for the pests,, mites marks are tiny dots compared to thrips, which are little oblong lookin marks

karma sent for pest control friend,, i have only ever used soap and persistence to battle pests, tho there are other more toxic controls as well

Week 8 update

This is day 58 germ/24 flower. I somehow managed to screw this grow up big time. I think I messed with them too much. Fan leaves going yellow, growth stunted. I feel like its a nute/water issue. I have some thoughts but am curious what 1st thoughts are from the masters...

Week 9 update

This is day 65 germ/31 flower. Definitely messed up on this grow. Waited too long to ask for help lol. Looks like she'll be a concentrate harvest. I have a few ideas of what I did wrong. All fan leaves have faded color and eventually shriveled. Calyx production basically stopped, only after fox-tailing. I'd say half the trikes are getting close. Lots of clear still. But at this point I think they stopped stacking and are on the way out. Curious what anyone else may think.

Hey @Cactusreefer hope you had a great night.
The lady with the yellowing it's in late flower?
How long does she have left?
How have you been feeding her?

Stay safe

Week 10 update

Happy New Year! This is day 72 germ, 38 flower. Well, I dont feel like things are getting better or worse with this grow. It's kinda stuck. At this point Im holding my breath. Bottom line, I got lazy. I am in planning for next grow at this point. Lots to change, most notably Im going back to photo's. My thoughts here on this failure:

-pots are too small
-improper watering(too much)
-nute lock out

Hi Bill,

Thanks for peekin. Id say mid flower. Still have a ways to go trichome wise. I was expecting a lot more bud fill-in. Seems they stopped stacking, almost all pistils are orange, and trikes are halfway. Im guessing < 2 weeks maybe. Feed hasnt been too crazy. I amended FFHF soil with added perlite, castings, and biochar. Ive worked up to 4 supplemental feedings thru the grow. Botanicare products. First 2 were veg recipe at half strength, except for CalMag was full strength. Same pattern for bloom. There were just plain water apps a couple times between feeding as I felt necessary, but am thinking I didnt wait long enough between.

Hope all is well!

Have a great weekend!
If you flush the pots with water 3x the size of the pot then feed as per the schedule you will make it to a great harvest. 6.3 ph
Let her dry well in between.
Your in the home stretch my friend a little more care and they will respond well.

Stay safe
Bill
