LINCOLN, Neb.–Nebraska authorities say a California man was arrested and more than 28 pounds of marijuana was seized after a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Lincoln.

The Nebraska State Patrol says in a news release that a trooper stopped an eastbound car for speeding around 11:30 p.m. Monday.

The patrol says the marijuana was found in four garbage bags in the car trunk.

Twenty-three-year-old Kenneth Turvey, of Carlsbad, Calif., was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to deliver. He was alone in his car.

A woman who answered the Lancaster County jail phone says Turvey remained in custody Tuesday. She says she didn't know the name of his attorney.
