I avoid referring to it as "losing weight" and instead deliberately choose words like "dropped excess weight", or better yet, "let go of the weight." When you tell your brain you lost something it's always trying to find it for you.

It's a vibrational thing. :3: I want my cells vibrating the joy of becoming lighter.

That was written as much for me as you Birdie. Lol! I'm a Saggitarrian woman, hell-bent on filling the universe with more creative ways to express joy and constantly striving to be a better human being. Lol!

When we let the weight go we get to meet ourselves again. I was close to 100 pounds over my natural weight. Every day I look in the mirror it's like seeing someone new. I don't remember ever looking like this. I like it. :4:

This morning I rolled out of bed and almost immediately went into a session of Body Beautiful, modified to contain 50 reps each side of Reach For The Stars just as I finished Daily Stretch with Heavenly Stretch. I also didn't do Pelvic Scoops. I can't get into Pelvic Scoops, no matter how hard I try. Lol! Between Pelvic Wave and Spiral Rotations I'm working those muscles already. :slide:

Ok, let me think....what was a standout today? :hmmmm:

My movements during Daily Stretch have become much more fluid as I've improved feeling for contraction vs release. Feldenkrais called it "Awareness Through Movement" and I can understand why. Most times I can feel the connections from one end of my body to the other.

Heavenly Stretch becomes more heavenly the more I can relax the ribcage down and back and relax the neck so it can extend. Hips and lateral line are still learning to let go and trust. Lol!

The other day I did 8 Brochades and noticed my Horse Stance is beginning to firm up. Today I was thoughtful throughout Legs, particularly during Pliés, to keep the back floating "Up" while I dropped down. It helps that my sense of connection through the heels is strong.

I was thinkin' I may be strong enough to play with some lunges and side planks. :4: Push-ups weren't deep, but they were controlled and I did 10 without breaking, and then folded back into a sweet Child's Pose with my forehead resting on the floor. :slide:

God, that felt good.

There were many days lately that I sat on furniture most of the time. A couple days back we retrieved my things and grabbed a trio of my floor mats. Now I have something do sit on in a house with tile floors. :yahoo: My hips and back missed sitting cross-legged.

One of the benefits of staying as a guest in this home is the inversion table they told me I can use anytime. I haven't used it more than once, but OMG! I'm pretty sure it let loose a lot of tension I had stored in my back. I've been much more mellow since then. Today's session was more deeply focused in those areas that'd been bound up. I'll see what I can do about trying it again in a day or so, before my next Callanetics session.

I've decided to start my days with Daily Stretch from here on out.

I may not get another session in until Wednesday, and I’ve not yet gone to daily practice of the Daily Stretch. :laugh2: At the moment I feel strong and aligned. I’m in a happy home, feeling loved and accepted. My Callanetics sessions since arriving have kept my emotions on an even keel and made up for the fact that I’ve not been doing much walking since coming to this town.

Once I get moved there’ll be much more opportunity to walk. For now I don’t have anything except the side of the road in an area I’m not familiar with, populated by voracious mosquitoes. Lol! I’m good with staying indoors and staying fit with pulsing.

All is well.

Tomorrow's my 65th birthday, so I treated myself to a session of Callanetics. :yahoo:

I'd already started the day with a run of the Daily Stretch, right before Doob and I headed out for a good walk, so I only did the Callanetics. It was amazing! I took about 4 hits of Super Lemon Haze before starting, and then kept taking a few every now and then. It helps me allow tension to evaporate so the muscles can move the way they're meant to and my bones can be aligned. :slide:

Heavenly Torso Stretch was the best ever! I got both hands down to the floor. It won't be long before the shoulders are there too.

It's always surprising how much better the session can be when it's been weeks in between. It's also incredibly exciting to be able to feel and see difference as I'm still in the middle of the session. Lol! Something dramatic happened to my upper thighs with this session. It fees like I'm in the glory days. All those years of faithful persistence are beginning to really pay off.

I worked the muscles so intensely that I had to take a shower afterwards to relax them. Lol!

In the morning I plan to start the day with a session of 8 brocades. Then I'm gonna take a walk before breakfast.

Well look at that, another session in less than a week. Lol!

Today’s marvelous pulsing was roughly structured around Body Beautiful. Looking back I don’t recall any changes other than leaving out Pelvic Scoops. I haven’t yet been inspired to get them back into the rotation.

I took a two-hour walk yesterday and the hips and behind appreciated the stretches. Lol!

I’m getting the form of the Waist Stretch down pretty good these days. The overhead extended and rotated arm stays much straighter now. :slide:

A shower will be nice. :4:

Good, it's only been 10 days between. :slide: I've been out walking every day, sometimes two or more times, and I've been slipping in 8 brocades and the DS with regularity, so I'm staying open and fluid. Energy stores are high.

Treated myself to a Christmas session of Callanetics. :yahoo: I did the Daily Stretch earlier after walking the pup, so I simply went straight into the Warm Ups, and progressed right into Body Beautiful. I haven't done Pelvic Scoops as part of this routine in months, but the rest of the system is absolutely amazing in performance and effectiveness.

I did toss in Waving Abs, but only 10 waves to the front, no rotations. I've been doing at least one torso crossover a day lately, and that's doing a fine job of rotating the torso.

Living in someone else's home means I have to find places that accomodate Callnetics. Today the couple I'm staying with is out of town so I threw the mats down in the kitchen, the brightest room in the house, and the one with the counter that works so well for Legs. When it came time to do Hips and Behind movements the mats got shifted to the other side of the breakfast bar, on the dining room floor.

It'll be wonderful to get my apartment and have my own space. I live more open than most, sitting on the floor instead of on furniture. That doesn't translate well into typical homes. Most of the space in an average home is filled with furniture. I own a kitchen table and two chairs, and one breakfast stool. Right now that's it. My space'll be wide open. Lol!

11 days between, but one of the strongest sessions I've ever had. Amazing how brilliantly the body responds when given time to digest the changes and make the subtle shifts in alignment. Today I was spot on with each and every movement.

Yes, I went in blissfully high. :slide: It's all about the mind/body connection, and nothing connects the two dimensions of who I am like cannabis.

My modified Body Beautiful was the chosen path tonight. I have a trip coming up. Want to be at my best physically. Body Beautiful is making me look thinner before I get to the end of the routine. Next time I believe I'll drop in the Magic 200. It's been a while.

I feel incredible! :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

Again, 9 days between, and the strongest session, the most connected I've felt with my body from the start.

I learned what the Standing Hips and Behind with Rotations is doing to the body. OMG! I expect the stomach and hips to be significantly different in the morning, and I can see the change in the neck. Good Lord....this system is even more than I knew it to be. :slide:

I almost talked myself out of it. Lol! Had to play the "I'll start with Warm Ups" game, except warm ups are after Daily Stretch, which always leads to Abs, since I'm right there on the floor, all warmed up and rarin' to go by then. :D

I couldn't dislike that emoticon more if I tried. I think this is the very last time I'll choose it :17:

Back to my joyful documentation of Callanetics. Let's see....

I've developed such a deep communication with my body since beginning Daily Stretch. I believe I'll pull out Feldenkrais's book when I get back and read it again. When I move through the series I can feel the engaged muscles from one end of my body to the other. It's led me to pay more attention to my body in general, which in turn led to such benefits as keeping ribs down and back, torso aligned vertically, weight in the heels. Better alignment coupled with higher awareness of body dynamics. It's a potent partnership.

I just love getting up from or dropping down to the floor, feeling the thrill of youthful energy coursing in my fluid muscles. I'm strong, stable, fluid, flexible, aligned, clear-headed... one of my best discoveries. It's been 30 years since the title caught my eye in the library and I was compelled to take it home and give that challenge a whirl. "Ten Years Younger In Ten Hours." She's held up her end of the bargain for sure. The more consistent I've been, the faster the additional changes have come on.

I now look like a vibrant, vivacious woman who cares about her health enough to do something about it. I'm a little in awe of how effective this can be when I'm only taking time every 9-11 days. Lol! At 65 I'm ok with my physical appearance, and that's not the real impetus, although I'll admit to satisfaction when I catch a look in the mirror. Hehe! It's the physical power I appreciate.

I feel marvelous! :yahoo:

Only 7 days! :yahoo:

Today I treated MagicJim to the chance to watch me do Callanetics. I'd suggested the program to him over three years ago and I finally had the chance to demonstrate. We were smoking this unbelievably energetic It's It Punch, which made this session kinda incredible. Lol!

Ok..... back to the business at hand.

Incredible session. I'm not sure if it was the chemovar, the fact that I've been getting stronger as I go, or the audience that had the most positive effect. Doesn't much matter. What does matter is the intensity I managed to pull into the session, and the results that are already obvious.

I started with the Daily Stretch, and moved into Abs from Body Beautiful, finishing with a 60 second full plank. From there I slipped into Warmups and continued with most of Body Beautiful, minus the Pelvic Scoops. I just can't seem to get excited about them, and haven't for months. I'm not sure why, but the impulse every time is to leave them out. I really believe what I do in Legs takes place of any benefit I'd get from PCs.

Heavenly Torso Twist was so relaxed I almost have the shoulder to the floor. :slide: I've been incorporating it into my days more often than not lately, and that consistent practice is beginning to pay large dividends of flexibility. It was so relaxed I took about ten deep breaths on each side. God.....it was a marvelous session.

Stronger, more flexible, better aligned, energetic, feeling longer, taller, curvier, younger, sexier,.......yeah.....this is why I keep going.

Time for another bowl of It's It Punch. :51:
