Camaro’s Torture Chamber

Soo it’s been a while since I’ve put much effort into the forums and I feel my lacking of a journal is a contributing factor to that. Soo here we are. To start I’ll briefly introduce myself to those who don’t know me. I started off growing in my teens in Massachusetts from random bag seeds, never really had much of successful crops in my teenage years from either animals, weather or cops finding my crops. After moving to Maine the success rate turned around drastically. I started meeting people who had grown for long periods of time and started getting good advice and much experience under those people. When I got into my first apartment I fired up my first DWC, and had my apartment flood out during the winter due to the upstairs vacant apartment freezing up. I’ve had all odds play out against me in the time I’ve been at it. Last year my outdoors went thru a travesty due to me not being able to be around to manage things. However, the last 5 years indoors has been fairly successful. I’ve built many RDWC and DWC systems tweaking things along the way to get them where I want them. I’ve grown dozens and dozens of strains and am playing around with the idea of getting into breeding. Enough of the about me BS, lets get on to what’s happening currently!

Currently, I have 6 strains going. Outside we have 2 Northern Lights, and 4 Glueberry OG’s, the NL is about 2 weeks from being done and unfortunately the glueberry is closer to 4 weeks from being done, we’re hoping for the weather to hold off some more, but we just had a light frost last night and fortunately they held thru despite the fact I forgot to bag them up for the night.

Inside, we have Northern Lights that Ive been cycling thru for a while now, and is part of my perpetual grow currently going on. From bag seed I started Blue Dream, and GMO, gmo came from a recent bag purchased at a dispensary, and the BD was from a bag purchased from a buddy. Then the goodies, a couple months ago I was lucky enough to be able to take some cuts from some very old lineage, a friend of the family had been working some strains for nearly or over 25 years, these final 2 strains currently in the room are, Blue Cookies, and Great Grand Daddy Purple. My flower tent is 5’x6’x7’, my veg tent is 2’x3’x5.5’, and my clone box is 2’x2’x2’ and is on stilts. We’ll get a little more in depth in a tiny bit about the rooms after I get some pictures of the plants up, connection is a little slow in the boonies

Now that we have pictures of the plants up, let’s see where we started with this setup, as this is my first time in soil/promix. I know I started off backwards by showing the plants then the room, hahaha, but let’s try to start from the start here, the cloner some may have seen in one of my other journals. I wired it up so the entire box has one plug to make it easy to move around. There’s a junction box in the center on top, which has an outlet that’s live all the time, the light switch controls the outlets inside the box soo I don’t have to unplug the cloner when working on clones, just flip the switch to kill the power. There’s a plug coming out of the junction box, I used to plug this one into a timer but I just plug it straight in for 24 hour light now, and for the light I wired up a simple light receptacle, and use a 6500k fluorescent bulb for the rooting, with much success to date, a 100% rooting and survival rate

For the longest time, I vegged and flowered in the same tent, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but that lengthens the time it takes to grow. Soooo, a veg tent had to be built, 2’x3’, and short enough to house my air control on top, but tall enough to have plenty of veg space, enough for 2 shelves if I invest in building some cob lights cause heat won’t be as much a concern. This room doesn’t have any light switches controlling anything but has 2 outlets wired in with the intentions of splitting it into 2 floors, there’s an outlet near the ceiling, and one down by the floor, always thing down the road when building, I learned this the hard way many times!!

Soo we have our clone/propagation box, and our veg tent, now it’s on to the flower tent where the fun happens. This room started out initially as a 6’x8’ room before moving into the home were in now, it then got cut down to the 5’x6’ that it is now, and I certainly do miss the extra space in there! Currently I only have 3 viparspectra v600’s in here, I took the 4th out to throw into the veg tent temporarily until I can build a cob setup, one for each room but start small and work our way up, the sacrifices we make. As for ventilation, I have both rooms exhausted by an 8” variable fan, 6” going to the big room and 4” going to the small room with a passive intake for both rooms and both have their each carbon filter on the exhaust side, there’s also a 16” oscillating wall mount fan in the big tent. The flower room has 4 sets of outlets, 3 on the ceiling and 1 on the lower section of an end wall. Both rooms are tied together at a gang box about 8 feet from the electrical panel and I tied directly in with a 20 amp breaker to make sure everything is good and safe. (Caution, I’m YouTube certified soo electrical may not be to code in all areas lmao, in all honesty though, is safe)

Wait a minute, how can we have all these rooms and no way to control our drying process?.... Ohh, we have that covered here as well. Sitting next to my clone station is the drying station, a 1’x1’x4’ box that’s rigged up with some electrical of its own. It has a dehumidistat to control when to kick on or off the computer fan that’s at the top, the fan is powered thru an old power adapter and the outlet it plugs into is controlled by the dehumidistat. I got tired of the old school way of tying strings to hang with soo I ordered about 80 alligator clips, I used 60 in the drying box and kept the other 20 for test clips on electrical projects and roach clips :lot-o-toke: ontop of the box over the fan I took a compost bin filter and folded it in half and taped it over the fan, soo far zero smell whatsoever. I put 2 pieces of pvc pipe at the bottom to allow air in for circulation, those are covered with the excess filter material to keep any critters out and filter smell further. Soo far this has also been a great success! And I must say, until I build a mother room which I intend on being a 2’x4’ room, this is all that my room has to offer for construction at the moment, but it is always a work in progress!

Good morning 420, the ladies are looking happy and healthy this morning, going to need a feed later on today. It’s been a bit chilly outside the last few days, and the glueberry and NL have taken a couple light frosts now, it’s supposed to warm back up soo I’ve been holding off on pulling them and man they are starting to get some nice colors to them from the cold, I need to grab pictures of those later on, but let’s get some updates on inside. The flower tent is coming along nicely, a couple more weeks on 4 that are almost ready to cut. The veg tent is starting to fill in and come to life after throwing some northern lights babies in and taking some more cuts the other night. In the cloner we have 8 Blue Cookies, 4 GMO which is currently an unknown gender, need to flip momma to find out, 2 GGDP’s and 2 Blue dreams, also sex unknown at this time, the BC and GGDP are cuts from known fems soo we’re good there, that’s all I have time for at the moment guys, hope ya enjoy

Looking like I have a little pest infestation to deal with, not too sure if it’s spider mites or broad mites, anyone have any ideas what these little bastards are?.. unfortunately no one has any ladybugs to be able to purchase right now soo I need to find something that’ll be safe to spray on the buds to deal with them....

Thoughts @InTheShed @Pennywise?

In veg I use neem oil, but you can also mix diatomaceous earth with water and spray the undersides of the leaves.

In flower you can use 70% iso mixed 1:9 with water, or spinosad.
Yeahh I’m going to try the diatomaceous earth for my veg tent and the iso in the flower tent. Have neem, but man the smell of that stuff turns my stomach bad. Outside I have no issue using it haha.
Looks like spider mites from here.
That’s what I was afraid of and suspected myself without having dealt with them before
