Can a male turn female?

Or was it a Hermie all along?? When I separated the males from females way back when... I guess I wasn't too good at it. The males were banished to the far reaches of the forest and I didn't pay them too much attention. They seemed full of pollen sacs and I left them alone so as to not get pollen on my clothes. But when I inspected them today I see that one or two are covered in seeds and the odd sign of Nanas!! Does any of this make sense or did I just screw up from the get go???

nature is amazing isn't it? Somehow the boys managed to produce a few female flowers just to make sure the species survived in that remote section of the forest.
