Can I put a fan heater in my tent?

Was going to use a fan heater in my tent aslong as its not blowing on plants it should be fine? Anyone use one in tent?

Might be better using a small oil filled radiator. They give off a much more gentle heat and don't dry out the air too much. And you don't have to worry about the hot air blowing on the plants.

Oil filled rads don't heat quick enough or go off quick enough for lights on off and iv found its harder to keep a constant temp with them

Rilly? Yeah, they're slow to heat up, but they give off just a much heat watt for watt; it's just more gentle heat.

I used to live in a 400 square foot apartment with unreliable heat (but the price was right) that I heated with just two oil-filled electric radiator-type heaters and they did the job just fine. I agree with Pyr0 that the heat is much gentler and I think it would be much less likely to parch your darlings (or start a fire).

I have ordered a fan heater and a small oil rad and will see how it goes thanks lads.
