Can too much light stunt growth?

Hello all, I seen a video and they said that too much light can stunt growth of younger plants, I always thought that as long as the light wasn’t too hot and burning the plant then the more light the better? I sprouted my seedlings under 315 cmh and they seem to be doing fine. I have the light hung higher right now at a little under 4 feet and will start moving it down when they get a couple sets of true leaves. Any thoughts on this subject? Thanks all.

Too much heat is generally worse than too much light.

That said, you can “light burn” a plant

small plants don’t need super intense light.
