Cannabis Oil yields

In making oil, I noticed my yeilds are different from batch to batch even though ive been very accurate. Does strain make the difference or am I missing something?

Strain, how it was grown, how it was cured, all makes a huge difference in yield. Lower buds are going to yield less than middle or top buds. Normally Indica produces more because of the heavy trichomes. It is definitely a great way to check out the quality of the bud, because when making oil the result don't lie...lol.
