CBD oil for my son

Hi so I just harvested dry 40g of CBD cannabis I will be making it for my son I wonder what would be better to use vegetable glycerin or olive oil ? And what would be the shelf life of that ?

I decided I will use Olive oil but it will gonna absorb alright orally ? Or better would be to make rso ?
