Cedar Mulch?

Hi all,

I'm doing guerilla growing so I am concern about being seen. Can anyone tell me if you can use alittle cedar mulch to help retain some moisture? My problem is all of my plants (I have alot) are growing outside. I am lugging 7-10 gallons of water to them every day. I was thinking of buying cedar mulch and just putting alittle bit around the base of each container to help keep in some water. What do you think? Will this cause any problems? Thanks.

put a board at the bottom mix some polymer crystals in the soil around the plants along with some grass foliage and/or some native mulch.

If your in containers you can cover them with something to keep direct sunlight off, to help from drying out? Instead of lugging water... IF you can park in a secure area in the vicinity, you can get a power inverter and a submersible pump and a couple of hoses and a water drum ($200 investment) Then you can pump the water from your car to your plants.
