I think thats where CFL's kinda fails, one light per plant is pretty much the way to roll with those lights. I think that the lux output is way too irregular, you get a sweetspot in the middle and then the lumens drops drastically a few inches away. I see all successful cfl grows use a combination of lights for spectrum and footprint and with these big bulbs I believe it is very hard to actually achieve any mixed spectrum since the zone where they actually mix is less than two inches from the light.Tell you truth only ever used CFL power because they are great in closets or small areas and because they aren't hot as HPS you can get them so close to the plant
but all depends on pot size for cfls and how many bulbs you can get in a tight space

Same issue from what i see with COB leds that gets way too focused par ratings in the middle and the sides drops a lot.
This was a setup I used for a couple of weeks between building and tinkering haha. I like the photo because you can clearly see how much stronger the led is compared to the cfls and its half the wattage.
