Local news just reported on the growing popularity of CFLs and warning users to dispose of used bulbs at Hazardous Waste Center along with used batteries, acid, etc. because SFLs contain mercury and should not go in landfill.
Granted if people purchase these bulbs they should already be aware of proper disposal, but WAY too many people are clueless about that process. Good reminder!!
