Chops’ First Grow In Soil Pineapple Kush, Blueberry Widow, Sour Punch Kiss

Hello everybody, I’ve been using this site for some time now and figured it was time to sign up and post my first journal. This is my first time to grow, and am really excited for my first harvest. It has been a very bumpy ride from day one lol. I initially started 6 seeds all together, but only one germinated and came up. I stepped back and re-evaluated my process, did some research, and tried again with fewer seeds. This time I got one more to come up, but my success rate still seemed very low. Once again back to problem solving and deciding my medium was to blame. I bought some basic seed starting mix, soaked two Lemon Skunk seeds, planted both, and got both seeds to germinate. Already many lessons learned with many more to go. So, here is the low down on my set-up.

What am I growing?
Pineapple Kush/Feminized
Sour Punch Kiss/Clone
Blueberry Widow/Feminized
Lemon Skunk/Feminized

I am currently in veg, although I do plan on flowering the Sour Punch Kiss in about two to three weeks. The SPK is a clone so I don’t know how old she is. The Pineapple Kush is 33 days old, the Blueberry Widow is 24, and the Lemon Skunk are 9 days.

I am growing indoors with soil using Fox Farms Ocean Forest what I think are two gallon pots. . I am currently using two two foot T5 fluorescent fixtures, one with two bulbs and the other with 6 in a 3’x3’x2’ nursery. For flowering a am using a 200 watt led manufactured in the USA.

My temps have hovered between 72 and 78 during the day and 67-72 during the day. My humidity has been low at between 35 and 45.

I have had some issues with possible nutrient deficiency in the clone shortly after getting it home, dealt with possible overwatering and a few gnats.

The little girls are requiring water in small doses a couple times a week, the bigger girls only about once a week. I am using Maxicrop seaweed at full strength, and alternating between Roots Surge, and bat guano tea, and stump tea.

Ok, quick question for the community. My Sour Punch Kiss is sitting at about 12-13 inches tall. I would like to top her and use the top for a clone. I've read that I need at least 5 inches for the clone. This seems to take me back to an alright spot for the topping, but I am wondering if this will be too much for the girl. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, tonight I finally committed... I removed the top 4-5 inches of my sour punch kiss. Hopefully all is well, being that this is my first grow I am feeling quite nervous right now. I had meant to take a little more, but after cutting I realized that I had cut higher than intended. It was actually a fortuitous mistake because I feel as though this was the perfect place to cut. Unfortunately I think I went a little short for the clone, but we will see what happens.

Quick question... Do I need to remove more of the leaves from this potential clone?

So, I managed to put the photos in the wrong order...Last photo is the beginning and third one is the clone.

Good evening everyone, I finally got a humidifier hooked up and I can not believe the difference it makes. The girls look amazing, so much better since getting up to 50 percent rh. Tonight I started the training on the sour punch girl. After the topping on Monday I was left with three branches of equal height but different placements on the stem. I have started pulling the branches down, but still need to go a bit further.

The “ Daddy almost killed me!” Lemon skunk, which I not only tipped over tonight, but I also messed up the watering early on.

The funny thing is, this Lemon Skunk is the same age, had the same problem as the first Lemon Skunk, and were up potted at the same time. Big difference between the two. I really hope she survives, she had a much different leaf pattern from the other LS.

Good evening Emilya and JustMeds and thanks for stopping by. This is truly a special thing I am getting to do and it is even better getting to share the journey with everyone here. Tonight the girls are going to get a drink. I wanted to water the sour punch on Thursday, but held off due to no wilt. I started brewing an AACT yesterday and added some Stump Tea to it today to re-inoculate everyone, so everyone gets a drink. I checked and everyone appears to need water, so I hope this is not a mistake. I believe that it has been well over a week since the last watering, but unfortunately I may have gotten stoned and forgot to document. I began pre-watering about an hour ago and plan on feeding in about 30 minutes. The sour punch will get a full dosage and the others will get a diluted drink. I am looking to move the sour punch to the flower room by the end of next week and introduce her to the california lightworks 275 and see if I can get her to bulk up headed into flowering. I will update pictures when I water later this evening.

Nice setup @Chopss420 , plants are looking beautiful! I'm in for the show. Hey what light is that to the left? I'm just up from newberville myself but they both look a bit close to me. I put my 450w (202w at wall) too close to my babes and it definitely slowed them down and caused me to need to try and stretch them later. Cheers and luck to your grow!

Thanks Pbass, the light on the left is a Tek 2 t5 from htg supply, I think it is a htg exclusive, it puts out about 10000 lumens, and the one on the right is an agro 6 bulb t-5 at 20000 lumens. Since they are both florescent I can keep them between 6-10 inches.
