Circulating water in a drip reservoir

Hi,

I just set up a Wilma large 4 (clay pebbles) and I have this nagging preoccupation about having the water still like that for several hours between feeds. Especially in the beginning when I will water even less.

Adding two air stones (or maybe just one), would that be enough to keep the water in order or should I perhaps add a small circulating pump (that just moves the water around)?

Thanks.

One large air stone with an ample pump will do the trick. Stagnant water, especially above 72 F will start to breed the nasties.

I've had to deal with root rot in the past, mainly during summer months. I spent a lot of $$$ on RezClear and it didn't really help. I don't own a chiller. I bought an air pump and the largest air stone the local shop had. My problems were solved.
