Closet Grow With QB

wonder if that plant would be better off under one or the other of the QBs. It would seem that it the middle is exactly where the light falloff would be highest.

How's the bottom watering working out?

I wanted to acclimate her to the QB before moving her directly below it. Poor thing had to suffer inferior light for a couple weeks.

The bottom feeding seems to be going rather smoothly so I anticipate some sort of adventure awaits just around the corner.
I've got all I need to replicate the octopot (bucket with reservoir, also bottom feeding) Stay tuned

The PC clone was flipped about a week ago and showed her first pistils tonight. She drank/ate nearly 2 quarts in 24 hours! I expect she'll maintain that pace or close to it through the stretch period. 35 days in the bottom feeder.... doing really good

Oops! That previous post belongs in the 4x4 tent journal, she was moved a couple weeks ago.

Now the closet hosts an Amnesia Haze auto (also in a bottom feeding gro-bucket) and Canna'tsu_X_Timewreck in a diy octopot (also a bottom feeder but with a bigger res)

C'tsu-wreck was topped tonight. They both germinated about 30 days ago but this one struggled a bit while she was deciding whether to live.

Bottom feeding suits you well!

Coco is my comfort zone so I am happy to have discovered bottom feeding. I may have to feed daily with the bucket but there's no runoff to extract. And after this I'll only use the buckets for autos. Everything else will be diy octopot or autopot. I might try different nutes but I'm sticking with this method and medium. Feels good when things look good, though hydro wasn't a complete failure, I just prefer pretty

Three cheers for bottom feeding!! I couldn't be more pleased with how it's working. Here are the roots in my diy unit

And the top...

That's Canna'tsuXtimewreck aka Christina or C'tina for short. She's been moved into the tent for flowering.

*********

Still in the closet we have Amnesia Haze auto aka Ruth. Her top was getting to tall so I bent it over just a bit

And the autopots with seedlings still being top fed.

The autopots were moved to the tent last weekend, the remainder of their growth will be tracked over in the tent journal.

Coming soon, Auto Mazar in a bottom feeding gro-bucket; I've found them to be better suited to autos. The photos need more res than the bucket offers.
Also, I'm building a couple more diy octopots which will host a Shiatsu Kush and a 'special' Mystery bag seed (yes, I am going to subject myself to the possibility of another freaking male!)

Ruth has that full sativa stretch thing going on, so I'm thinking what...10 weeks? Nice stacking on her.

I'd be thrilled if she was ready in a week or 2. I'm pretty excited to taste her buds and feel their effect.

37% RH seems kinda low for those babies...am I reading that wrong?

You're not reading it wrong, it dropped because someone turned off the humidifier (the other person in my home) What's been happening is I sometimes forget to turn it off when the light goes off. Then the humidity rises to 100% (damn near raining in there) and that worries him so he turns it off. I try to remember to check on it before it gets too low but I missed it more than a couple times. I really need to get both plugged into a timer. I'm sure that's why my seedlings are always struggling.

The weird thing is he obsessively monitors the environment in the tent, adjusting fan speeds as needed. That and trimming are pretty much his only duties, I just need to get him to either leave the starter closet alone or learn what the environment needs to be. Maybe he doesn't realize it's different at that stage?! Revelation!!

It's hard to remember this all began as his project and his lack of interest in learning bumped him to the backseat... his uncle is floundering for the same reason. I'd love to teach him but he won't hear me.
