Lol.I'm feeling like working a couple methods out of mine
I've done the 36 hr dark period once (didn't have a plant to compare to so it was what it was)
I'm at week 5 of flower right now so I'm going to flush my soil of salt build up (never done this yet).
..... Now I already forget what else there was lol

my first grow i did 3 days of dark, and like you i have no idea if it made a difference. i also didn't flush as Emmy describes it. my second grow i did 48 hours dark and last time did no dark and don't notice a difference.
i did the water only ( in coco coir ) for the last 5 days this time and didn't notice a difference. the blue rhino had fluffy grey ash right after being dried. the white widow has darker ash and is harsher even after curing. this is based on 2 grows, so i have no idea what this is saying lol.
on grow 2 and 3 i noticed the effects of flushing as Emmy describes it but didn't realize that's what was happening until this thread lol.
my feeding strategy this time is gonna be regular daily feed, but every few weeks do a flush with regular feed by just running twice as much through. i'll never put clear water into my coco again.

So guys I'm into week 9 now still feeding them nutes but a weak dose going to stop feed on monday and put into darkness until thursday where they will be getting chopped as unfortunately I cant wait any longer as i go away for a week .. my question is do they look ready

kush looks mostly cloudy, TD is clear... the orange/red trichomes are quite distinct when they come in and I recommend waiting for 5%, 10% if you want it to put you out like a light at night.

This is rest of my tangerine dream .. that 1st picture is the biggest cola on the plant so think it's still swelling

She is looking good, but definitely not done yet. She will be a beautiful finisher, with very distinctive triangular trichomes that are obviously a different color than normally seen. Check out pictures of her from other grows to see what to look for. Here was mine, right before the 2 week budstretch started:

Yeah I know and I'm usually am patient but my problem is I'm going away for a week but that's not my biggest problem .. its actually that the others are ready but I'm tied for space and cant just pick and choose what comes down and stays plus all 8 plants are double scrogged which in itself will be a nightmare to take the ones out which are ready to be put into darkness

So in my position what would you do ... I got 3 tangerine dream .. 3 critical kush and 1 bruce banner all different times ready lol and thanks for the picture it looks great
