Pueblo, CO. The majority of voters in Pueblo say they want retail marijuana shops within city limits.

Now city leaders have the task of setting guidelines to help get the shops set up appropriately.

Ballot issue 2B asked voters to approve retail marijuana shops within city limits.

The vote was close, but all of the ballots have been counted and the measure passed by over 900 votes.

Pueblo City Council President Steve Nawrocki says he will likely recommend allowing four retail marijuana shops on the city's south side and four on the north side.

"Certainly not looking at having recreational shop in every corner. We still have to follow state regulations in terms of where they are placed in terms of schools and public facilities," said Nawrocki.

City Council will talk about the issue on Monday during a work session at 5:30 p.m.

Narwocki says they could give direction to the city manager to get the process going with the legal and planning departments.
