Cownie's Medical Marijuana Bill Should Be Unopposed

Peter Cownie and the Republican Party continue to lead when it comes to use of medication [Republican lawmaker to file bill for medical marijuana, Feb. 9]. Possession and use of medications should not make an ill person or their loved ones a felon. As such, we need to allow for the legal production and distribution of these same medications.

Rep. Cownie presents a sensible bill that will prevent harm, not cause it, and should be unopposed.
