This is my first hydro grow. I'm really looking forward to this grow and figuring out this soilless process. I was at the local hydro shop the other day and ran across this pretty cool GH 2 gal all-in-1 setup. So I figured what the hell. I hear it's much easier so we're going to find out. A little background info to start off with is customary.
What strain is it? Purple Haze
Is it Indica, Sativa or Hybrid? What percentages? Sativa
Is it in Veg or Flower stage? veg
If in Veg... For how long? cloned 3 weeks ago around 7/14
If in Flower stage... For how long?
Indoor or outdoor? indoor
Soil or Hydro? hydro
Size of light? 4x23w 100w equivalent CFL veg/ 600W HPS Flower
Is it aircooled? yes
Temp of Room/cab? 74-85
RH of Room/cab? 35-55
PH of media or res? 5.6
Any Pests ? no
How often are you watering? DWC drip
Type and strength of ferts used? Fox Farms 1/2 strength
Bucket Size - 2 gal
Medium - Hydroton
Lights - cfl/hps
Nutrients - Fox Farms

So now that thats out of the way, here we go. This plant is from a cutting I got and was told it was Purple haze. So with that said thats all I have to go on. It does come from a pretty credible source and the old stem growth is very purple so "purple haze" it is. We are going to try and get it pretty cold at the end to see if we can get it to really turn purple. I heard that works. We'll see. I took this cutting about three weeks ago and put it under a dome and moistened it daily with 5.5 ph'd water until it rooted, then i put it in the new GH setup and into the veg cabinet. That was on the evening of 8/2. I'm planning on feeding on wednesdays and updating on thursdays with pics and periodically in between. I am planning on topping her twice and LST'ing. I did that on a previous soil grow and got a really cool plant with alot of colas but wished I'd had more room when I flowered because some of them never saw the light of day due to other plants and yield suffered. This little lady is getting her space with the HPS. Me and a friend are both growing this strain and are having a little contest between the two of us. A little "Iron Chef" if you will. So wish me luck and any pointers to help me come out VICTORIOUS would be appreciated. I'm going to try and follow the FOX FARMS nute schedule spot on without the kangaroot, microbebrew, or sledgehammer. I started her nutes yeasterday at seedling/cutting 1/2 strength. I'm going to do this for 2 weeks and then start week 1 of veg and continue to week 4 and switch to 12/12. Oh ya! I'll veg at 18/6. I'll veg under 4 23w cfl's 2x2700k 2x3500k. Then when I flower I'll put her under a 600w Hortilux super HPS lamp @ 88,000 lumens. Thanks to any and all who follow. So without further adou,
