CS21 First Grow Ever!

I’ve placed jiffy pellets in net pots with hydroton and there were no issues. If you keep the water level close to the bottom of the net pot with a good air stone you may not need to top feed. The air bubbles splashing should give it what it needs.

Got the seedling in her new home. Made sure I washed the hydroton and soaked in 5.6 ph water. Have 250ppm feed bubbling about 1" below the net pot at 66°. It is bubbling up to the bottom of the pot so I will see if that is enough to make the roots reach for the water or i will top feed if i have to.
I have noticed some of the leaves on my 3 blue dream staring to canoe or taco...
I'm not sure what would be causing it exactly... I have read that it is either heat or light...
My temps almost have never went over 80° usually sit around 78°, and at night never drop below 70°.
And the lights are at 24-26" above the plants. The GG#4 are taller and they dont seem affected. Other than that they seem to be healthy color and are reaching for the sky as well.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what this may be?

I would just keep watching for more signs. Taco can happen from heat, too close to light, and humidity reasons either high or low. If more of your leaves showed this sign I would say you have an issue. Just keep watching them. Cheers!

Just a quick little update.
3 of the girls are topped the Nebula way and will have till the middle of February to just stretch up before flipping without any further HST.
The other 4 will be Nugbuckets style and I will still have to top them 1 more time... hoping that will be in about 3 days and then they will have 2 and a half to 3 weeks to recover and grow before flipping.
Hopefully those 4 will get enough time to veg to still produce a descent yield.
They seem to be looking pretty healthy as far as I can tell... nice and green and perky. The only thing I have noticed is i have 1 GG that is growing lopsided... the nodes that are paired across from each other are noticeably different sizes.
Weird

Few pics just to show some of the training and how the girls are coming along.
I'm thinking it should be tomorrow or Tuesday for last topping (yay!!)
Will be nice to let these girls grow for longer than a week or 2 without destroying them haha!!
Will keep you all posted!!

Maybe you should take a gander at my first grow listed below. I topped when they were old enough, then I would top again every other day, when I started logging the grow I was into flower, 60 day VEG! Cheers! 135W per plant

Thanks Wally, I definately will check out your journal... I am doing the mainlining technique so when I said top I was unclear... it takes longer than a couple days to recover from that style of HST.
It was something I seen and wanted to give a shot.
I will top some of them one more time to have 8 main colas on each plant. Some were done the Nebula way and are all done being topped for 8 already and they will grow out for the remainder of veg... I would like to flip Valentines day or so lol.
That will put right around 60 day veg as well. They were germinated on Dec.17

Good day my 420 peeps!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!!
So I got a 1000w hps light on the way for when I switch to flower, that I will run along with a couple Viparspectra 600s.
Hopefully that gives me LOTS of watts for a good yield. (1550 actual wattage)
I'm really hoping to use this as a heat source as well considering its winter where I live so it's pretty cold up here in northern Canada!!
Does anyone have any experience doing this?? Was looking to pick your brain about a few things... I was thinking I will just use my carbon fan as a cooling source plugged into an inkbird. Then once I get a bit into flower I will just run the fan full time to keep humidity down. Then I will just go back to using the heater again as well if needed. Trying to avoid venting the light heat for now if I dont have to.

So basically all the major training is done and now it's time to let these girls do their thing. I got 1 more that I still have to do a bit of work to but for the most part all I will be doing now is positioning the colas, and a bit of lower defoliation later on.
I'm so excited to see these babies go into flower in a couple weeks!!
All and all they are looking quite healthy I believe. Other than a couple of issues early on things have been going smoother than I expected for sure.
Got a few shots of a couple of them in some normal light after some LST and then some shots from just now when the lights come on.
I got some more seeds as well that I'm thinking I will germinate pretty soon.
3 Blue Hash
3 Green Crack
3 OG Kush
(Anyone have any experience with Blue hash?? I have never tried it)
And then when I harvest these ones the others will be ready to flower...
I'm thinking I will stick with the coco again as it seems to be pretty forgiving for a new grower like myself.

Hey guys and gals, hope everyone is doing well!!
I have a question or two if there is anyone who could help me out...
I will be switching to flower in a little over 2 weeks... my questions are in the last 2 weeks of veg should I start implementing any flowering nutes soon or stay with the canna A+B with silica, rhizo, cannazym, cal mag right up till flip day?
And also do I stick with the 18/6 light schedule right till flipping day or do I acclimate them to the 12/12.
Any suggestions??

Just an update for anybody watching...
Girls are doing great as far as I can tell.
They are growing exponentially over the last couple days, and they have been getting fed at 700ppm all in right now. (Still veg nutes)
Just got my new 1000w light in today as well so we will see how the girls enjoy it. I am just using it on the 600w setting for now at 24". It doesn't seems to be affecting the heat at all in the tent as its winter here anyway. Will be nice to have the extra power for flowering.
I'm still a bit unsure on transitioning lights to a 12/12 schedule. From what I have read if i want to be at 12/12 by the Feb.14 I should start backing the lights to 16/8 this week, 14/10 the next and then 12/12 around the 14th... if anyone could confirm this it would he great!!
And also for the nutrients I believe that I should start adding in the canna boost as well during this transition period from veg to flower but again I'm not 100%.
Any advice is appreciated.

Day 46 since Germaination
Lol damn internet... I have read more conflicting thing on growing it's a just a little bit confusing hahaha... to say the least.
From what I read there is no need to do a transition with the lights... that flipping from 18/6 to a 12/12 is fine, just that they are not considered to be in bloom till first signs of bud sites. Which could be up to 2 or 3 weeks. I will probably hold off another week or so of the Canna Boost.
I will give them another week or more before flipping to a 12/12 hoping they are at a desired height but if they are not where I would like I will wait a bit longer.
I would like them to be about 14"-18" above the coco after training is complete, as these girls are sativa dominant and are supposed to be stretchers

Update Day 47
Coco/perlite grow
3-GG#4
3-Blue Dream
1-White Widow
Tent size 4'×8'×7'
Room temps 25°C lights on/ 20° lights off
Humidity, 50-60%
Lighting, 1- 1000w dimmable HPS/MH setup and 2- Viparspectra 600w led. (270 actual watts each)
Using Canna Coco A+B, Rhizo, Cannazym, Cal Mag, Armor Si and great white mycorrhizae, will throw in canna boost and Canna PK 13/14 during flower
Feeding daily, about 800ml-1000ml/ each at 750ppm.
Using Nugbuckets and Nebulas mainlining techniques on most of these girls and topping and lst on the other.
Here is a few pics for anybody watching.
Advice and conversation is always welcome!!
Happy growing everyone!!
