Hey guys

So although i still have a journal running this will be a new journal to focus on my new personal grow. Ofcourse for those that know me (and those that dont) I'll still put sneaks of my other grows in when i feel the urge!

So where are we at?

strain: GREENHOUSE SEEDS A.M.S

flower time: 8 WEEKS
indoor/outdoor: INDOOR
grow space: 1.2x2.4x2meters HORTILUX TENT (4x8foot)
medium: x4 (maybe 6) OXY POTS DWC, 8-12 COCO/PERLITE 50/50
nutes: CANNA AQUA, DUTCH PRO HYDRO/COCO base plus additives to be listed.
lighting: x2 1000w LUMATEK DIGITAL BALLASTS WITH DIMMERS AND SUPER LUMENS, x" 1000w HPS
growing experience: MORE THAN 10 YEARS OF CONTINOUS GROWING ONE WAY OR ANOTHER
germination: CUTTINGS FROM 3 YEAR OLD MOTHER PLANT

Now lets get this show on the road.

I'll start off by showing u all my selection of cuttings for the grow. These are between 8 and 16 days old. The ones will the real long roots will go in oxypots as they are coditioned to hydro and the shorted rooted clones into the coco before they are too conditioned to the hydro. I do 95% of my cuttings in aerocloners and get 100% success rate.

Now for my grow tent. These are way better than the secret jardins and way cheaper. No light leaks and the drip trays work as some of my fellow growers could have done with in their grows, saying no names (bassman lol). I have currently my A.M.S mother getting a dose of 1000w radiation and 2 super skunk and NY diesle that were going to be mothers, im going to flower them this grow, not the A.M.S though, she is my no1 and i'll never get rid of her!

Heres a few diff nutes on my nute shelf, even though u cant really see what they are. I'll be using canna Aqua vega/flores for the oxypots and Dutch Pro for the coco. Plus additives as follows: voodoo juice, pirahana, carboload, cannazyme, guardian angel, H2o2, Dutch pro explode, top shooter, superthrive, b-52, bud candy, nitrozyme. plus other shit that i have lying around and cant remeber off the top off my head. ph-grow and bloom, nitric acid for veg, phosphoric acid for bloom.

I use a quality PH meter by Bluelab and ec meter. Very important to look after ph especially in hydro.

Finally heres a couple pics of the ballasts i will be using. These are one of best on market in my opinion, i run alot of them, mainly 600w but 1000w also.

And heres a nug shot from my last grow journal because i just looked at it and i liked it! lol

I'm in!

a couple thoughts: I had a smaller hood, not unlike yours in my 4x4 tent (basically same size tent), and feel that the hood size and shape was not conducive to getting full width spread of the 1k light. Especially when I let them get too tall and the outside upper canopy was at a bad angle not getting enough light. Do you think the narrowness of your hoods could be creating the same? I just have this mindset (and I could be wrong) that the narrower hoods don't give us proper width for a 1k bulb in a 4 foot wide area if we're going to use most of that width.

im not sure of the dimension of the hoos but i will measure it. I think the spread looks ok to the eye but thats obviously not the best gauge. I know my plants wont get tall as ive grown them so many times before, they more bushy than tall and with the scrog they'll be fine. thinking of just scrogging coco plants, just bit awkward changing buckets with the oxypots but we'll see.

Ok here we go.

So i cleaned and sterilised 4 oxypots with strong peroxide mix and set them up as follows:

4 Oxypots will take up 1 side of the tent under 1 1000w hps

I use the cuttings with the longest roots for the DWC oxypots. This is because the roots are already accustommed to hydroponics after rooting in my aeroponic cloner 16days. This will give the cuttings the best start possible. I mixed the res as follows:

10litres (2.5gallons) Tap water e.c 0.2
Canna Aqua Vega A+B 20ml
H2O2 (17.5%) 5ml
PH- grow
ph5.2

For the coco i mixed the coco and perlite 50/50. They were potted in 6.5litre square pots apart from 3 that were already potted in airpots. The air pots contain 2 super skunk and 1 NY diesel. These could turn out to be problematic as i have no idea how they grow as its my first time growing. If i feel they are getting too tall or interfering with the A.M.S they will face the chopping block or more likely be donated elsewhere. 6.5litre pots are relatively small, but dont be fooled, i will still get some great plants from these. They wont get root bound as i dont veg long enough and the roots will be treat like royalty i assure u.

The roots on the coco cuttings are alot shoter and less developed than what i placed in oxypots. If they are conditioned to hydro it will take longer for cuttings to bed in as the roots will die off while new root growth occurs.

Coco feed as follows:

Res 50litres Tap Water ec 0.2
Dutch Pro Coco/Hydro Grow 150ml
Voodoo Juice 200ml
Pirahana 10grams approx
Carboload 25ml
Cannazym 125ml
PH- Grow
PH 5.8

So i havent put netting up yet for scrog, i'll do that tomorrow.

Tent set up is as follows:
1.2x2.4x2meter hortibox (4x8' approx)
2 1000w hps
2 Lumatek digi ballasts
6" airforce2 super silent, super powerful inline fan
Accoustic ducting
6" large rhino carbon filter
2 4" passive intake coming fom outside
2 Silverstar cool tube reflectors. (they put the light out ok but they are cheap shite really wouldnt recommend magnum xxl way better)
12" oscillating fan
6" oscillating fan


The plants are just in any old how at mo. Just allowing my mother to get a much needed burst of 1000w hps before she goes back under her 250w CFL to keep her in stasis.

@PanamaRed, I highly suggest you check out Blue Planet Nutrients . BPN is a sponsor here and is very active in helping out growers of our plant. I doubt you'll ever hear of GH offering assistance on MMJ in any forum anywhere. BPN products are extremely price competitive, and not a single person here on 420mag that I've heard of has anything bad to say about their results using BPN.

ive never used any GH nutes so cant say if they good or bad. If u know how to grow u'll be to get results though. But as bass said u could try BPN and i guess the good thing there is he is an active member on the forum and will help u if u need it.

Im using GH 3 part with some other goodies and I have no complaints but it is pricey,if your in the states BPN would be alot cheaper and just as good from what im hearing.
